The fire pit is veneered in house brick, lined with a fire brick interior, includes a custom log grate and gas starter, and is finished with a four-piece thermal bluestone coping. The sloping grade was excavated and retained with curved bluestone steps and snapcut limestone.

This project combines high end earthy elements with elegant, modern furnishings. We wanted to re invent the beach house concept and create an home which is not your typical coastal retreat. By combining stronger colors and textures, we gave the spaces a bolder and more permanent feel. Yet, as you travel through each room, you can't help but feel invited and at home.

Frenchmen's Club Mod by Krista Watterworth Design Studio in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Photography by Mark Roskams. This outdoor space was tired and dated. We brought it into the present with modern luxuries, and an open, contemporary feel.

Our clients wanted to upgrade their backyard space at their home in a beach front community. They decided to install a pool with a spa and spillway surrounding the pool with luxurious travertine. The pool deck features columns that support gas fed fire bowls, a seat wall with a linear gas fed fire pit to accentuate the space. It was then decided to landscape using a tropical flair with palm trees and illuminate them and the rear of their home with low voltage LED lighting. To say that the homeowners are thrilled with their new outdoor pool space is an understatement.

Low voltage lighting integrated into the arbor and landscape enhances the garden’s ambient light. Rope lighting between the arbor beams creates its inner glow, copper path lights highlight grade changes, and cast bronze bullet fixtures with LED lamps highlight selected trees.

Outdoor lighting, including the cozy light from the fire pit, make this space a perfect retreat every evening.
