Quarry Mill
This relaxing and secluded outdoor oasis showcases a custom pool and waterfall with Augusta grey and earth tone natural ledgestone thin veneer. Augusta is a grey and earth tone real stone veneer in the ledgestone style. The thin stone is a blend of split face and bedface pieces excavated from a single quarry. The split face pieces are the gray interior part of the stone, whereas, the browns and tan pieces come from the bedface that has been exposed to the elements for millenia. Augusta falls into the ledgestone style due to the smaller heights of the individual pieces. Although it makes for a more labor-intensive installation, Augusta looks wonderful with a drystack tight fit installation. The stone showcases the right balance of subtle color variation to look visually appealing but not overwhelming or busy.

Handmade Kitchen Co
We give you a warm welcome to this delightful location in Sandy, where the property was built in 1976 to an individual design. What you will see is a well-proportioned room with high ceilings which is the perfect place for a handmade kitchen! Our clients also commissioned a sleek new extension that artfully blended the old with the new and was designed to forge a stronger connection to the outdoors with floor-to-ceiling windows on either side and a glass roof.
Since our lovely clients moved into their forever home, the last year has been non-stop with the renovation works and each room has been designed with love and attention to detail. Before moving in, the property was neglected and needed some TLC. Fast forward to a year in the making, this property is now our client’s dream family home. We worked with interior designer Rita at Black Square Interiors on this project.
When it came to the kitchen style, the couple set their hearts on our Traditional shaker with a raised panel. It’s such a beautiful design concept and even more so when seen in a room of this size.
Ourselves and our client have well and truly embraced the current penchant for pink in this stunning space and, upon walking into this room, your eyes will turn immediately to the gentle dusky pink island. This delicate pink is Light Peachblossom by Little Greene.
Flint by Little Greene is the complementing paint choice in this colour scheme. This sophisticated warm white is a pure mineral, beautiful in kitchens and combines with many hues on the colour spectrum.
Another one of our projects bringing you Neff’s latest design. What other exciting features could we bring to the space? It’s the new colourway, Graphite-Grey by Neff.
Although the island is a fascinating feature the square bay window is truly breathtaking. Flush windowsills are a lovely detail you don’t often see, but when our client saw this in one of our previous projects it blew their mind. They thought about how else they could bring natural light into this large space and we came up with the idea to seamlessly run the worktop through to the window ledge. This room was originally quite dull so adding areas that can bring in natural light is a winner for all.

AV Architects + Builders
The Architect House is located on a breathtaking five-acre property in Great Falls, VA. This modern home was designed to shape itself into the site and landscape. By doing so each indoor space individually responds to the corresponding outdoor space. The entire house is then able to knit itself together with spaces that freely flow together from inside and out.
The orientation of the house allows sunlight to tell the time of the day while you are inside. Upon entering you see straight through a central atrium and into the landscape beyond. Natural light and views of nature are captured from every angle inside the home.
The modern exterior design of the house utilizes a linear brick at the base of the house that anchors it to the land. Gray and cedar colored modern architectural panel siding alternate patterns on all facades of the house, accentuating the different volumes. These volumes are then capped off by low sloping metal panel roofs. Exposed steel beans and columns are utilized to create long spans of covered outdoor spaces that then easily recede into the backdrop of the landscape.
The design of this modern home is in harmony with the site and landscape creating a warm welcoming feeling and one that conveys that the house belongs there.
Parrett Windows & Doors
Nestled in the pristine beauty of the north woods of Wisconsin is the natural landscape of majestic trees, clear spring fed lakes, fascinating wildlife and exhilarating outdoor recreational activities. It is inviting to many families, friends and couples throughout the year The lakes in particular provide for an enormous amount of fun and relaxation. For those so fortunate to have a property it is customary to have a boathouse to store your swimming or boating gear and equipment. Recently Parrett was selected to provide windows and doors for a new boathouse and replacement windows and doors for an existing home. The boathouse windows consisted of folding windows and doors allowing for opening the windows the complete 10 foot expanse. These same doors were backed by a full length horizontal pulled screen. The folding window system was set on the second level loft designed as an elevated viewing area of the lake. Mulled directly to the top of the folding window was a Napoleon shaped direct set. On the opposite side of the second level was a window system matching the shape of the lakeside window system. The upper mulled window was a duplicate of the window on the lake side however the window below consisted of four awning windows. Due to the awnings being elevated from the lower floor and not easily accessible the windows were set up with individual electronic motors for operation which can be operated by either a switch or a remote control. The system allows for operating all of the windows at once or individually. The windows were made out of solid mahogany to the interior and a high performance woodgrain aluminum clad to the exterior. The lower boathouse door is a four panel solid mahogany plank style folding door system with a horizontal pull screen. Greeting anyone entering the boathouse is a custom designed entry door which has a carved pattern to the exterior emulating an owl. The owl door was made out of solid white oak and bordered with a 10 inch wide flat casing with a 12 inch keystone and plinth blocks located on top. Parrett was proud to be part of this fun, picturesque and very functional project.

Boss Builders
This beautiful modern home is particularly special to the team at Boss Builders who collaborated with Archaeo Architects throughout the project. The result is a modern showpiece with exquisite details and finishes. The home’s spine connects multiple structures that compose the home. On the east side of the spine are the garage, entry and three ensuite guestrooms; to the west are the kitchen, great room and den.
The individual living spaces are connected by a bright, sloping ramp mirroring the natural topography of the ridge. This contemporary home captures beautiful natural views and the clerestory windows bring in the radiant, New Mexico light. The street view of this home is absolutely stunning, showcasing its unique architecture.
The Bazeley Partnership
The Hide is a stunning, two-storey residential dwelling sitting above a Nature Reserve in the coastal resort of Bude.
Replacing an existing house of no architectural merit, the new design evolved a central core with two wings responding to site context by angling the wing elements outwards away from the core, allowing the occupiers to experience and take in the panoramic views. The large-glazed areas of the southern façade and slot windows horizontally and vertically aligned capture views all-round the dwelling.
Low-angled, mono-pitched, zinc standing seam roofs were used to contain the impact of the new building on its sensitive setting, with the roofs extending and overhanging some three feet beyond the dwelling walls, sheltering and covering the new building. The roofs were designed to mimic the undulating contours of the site when viewed from surrounding vantage points, concealing and absorbing this modern form into the landscape.
The Hide Was the winner of the South West Region LABC Building Excellence Award 2020 for ‘Best Individual New Home’.

Vintage Cellars
Transformation of a library into a wine cellar, complete with eSommelier touch screen wine inventory system.
This Library to custom wine cellar conversion is a perfect example of turning the lesser used spaces in your home into your favorite room in the house! Vintage Cellars helped create this custom wine room in a close collaborative effort with the home owner. Wine case storage was an important feature in this medium wine cellar, as well as individual bottle storage, high reveal bottle display features, and even a separate tabletop island with craft beer storage.
The custom glass and wrought iron door is a stunning entrance into this library wine cellar conversion. Vintage Cellars and their team of wine cellar builders specialize in anything and everything wine storage related. Custom wine cellar doors are just another quality product you can source from Vintage Cellars. A traditional design like this draws from the natural beauty of the redwood wine racking, as well as the clean and elegant straight lines the individual bottle storage provides.
Craft Beer storage, differing from wine storage, requires that the beers are kept upright to ensure all excess yeast is compounded at the bottom of each bottle.
Additionally, This beautiful rustic wine cellar features a E-Sommelier wine cellar storage management system. With a modern wine management system, wine collectors can literally tag, input and categorize each wine into the computer system- letting you know when certain wines reach their ideal ages for drinking, tasting notes, up to the minute counts of cellared wines, and much more.

Aralia: Innovation in Landscape Design
Chelsea Creek is the pinnacle of sophisticated living, these penthouse collection gardens, featuring stunning contemporary exteriors are London’s most elegant new dockside development, by St George Central London, they are due to be built in Autumn 2014
Following on from the success of her stunning contemporary Rooftop Garden at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2012, Patricia Fox was commissioned by St George to design a series of rooftop gardens for their Penthouse Collection in London. Working alongside Tara Bernerd who has designed the interiors, and Broadway Malyon Architects, Patricia and her team have designed a series of London rooftop gardens, which although individually unique, have an underlying design thread, which runs throughout the whole series, providing a unified scheme across the development.
Inspiration was taken from both the architecture of the building, and from the interiors, and Aralia working as Landscape Architects developed a series of Mood Boards depicting materials, features, art and planting. This groundbreaking series of London rooftop gardens embraces the very latest in garden design, encompassing quality natural materials such as corten steel, granite and shot blasted glass, whilst introducing contemporary state of the art outdoor kitchens, outdoor fireplaces, water features and green walls. Garden Art also has a key focus within these London gardens, with the introduction of specially commissioned pieces for stone sculptures and unique glass art. The linear hard landscape design, with fluid rivers of under lit glass, relate beautifully to the linearity of the canals below.
The design for the soft landscaping schemes were challenging – the gardens needed to be relatively low maintenance, they needed to stand up to the harsh environment of a London rooftop location, whilst also still providing seasonality and all year interest. The planting scheme is linear, and highly contemporary in nature, evergreen planting provides all year structure and form, with warm rusts and burnt orange flower head’s providing a splash of seasonal colour, complementary to the features throughout.
Finally, an exquisite lighting scheme has been designed by Lighting IQ to define and enhance the rooftop spaces, and to provide beautiful night time lighting which provides the perfect ambiance for entertaining and relaxing in.
Aralia worked as Landscape Architects working within a multi-disciplinary consultant team which included Architects, Structural Engineers, Cost Consultants and a range of sub-contractors.

The Property Sisters
This is a small kitchen we designed and executed for a very unique individual. He has a love for nature, but has traditional taste. Rather than go with the obvious choices of stone, slate, travertine, Marilynn chose this dramatic wood look tile by Emser and brought it all the way to the ceiling to give the illusion of taller ceilings and a larger kitchen. Allison added to that illusion by removing a dropped light box and creating a coffered ceiling. The dramatic wine color (DEA 145 Wine Stain) on the lower cabinets brought out the plum in the granite counters and antique brass knobs (Lowes) added class. The dark accent craterlake tile (Home depot) floors and lower cabinets were balanced by the white upper cabinets (DEW 340 Whisper) and soft sage green paint (DE 6241 Lunar Landing) on the walls and coffered ceiling.
