The Hidden Gem is a lake house nestled on a private lake in NJ. This house was taken down to the studs and rebuilt. The renovated kitchen is perfect for cooking and gathering. The nook holds a table with seating for 4 and is the perfect place for pancakes or afternoon tea.
The dining room has a wet with an Art TV in the center so no one will miss the game while eating Thanksgiving dinner.
The living room is a great spot to unwind at the end of the day. A gas fireplace with a reclaimed wood, live edge mantel is the focal point.
The bonus room over the garage is ideal for teenagers to gather and play video games or watch movies.
This house is light and airy and the summer sun floods in through all the windows. It's also cozy for brisk autumn nights and cooler spring days.

Having been neglected for nearly 50 years, this home was rescued by new owners who sought to restore the home to its original grandeur. Prominently located on the rocky shoreline, its presence welcomes all who enter into Marblehead from the Boston area. The exterior respects tradition; the interior combines tradition with a sparse respect for proportion, scale and unadorned beauty of space and light.

Fabulous fish oversee all of the cooking in this beach house galley kitchen. This family home can accommodate up to twenty-two overnight guests on any given hot summer night. The man of the house prides himself on pancake breakfasts for all. As a second home for this family of five, the owners decided to step away from a large kitchen plan in favor of a highly functional galley kitchen where the cooks could have the kitchen to themselves allowing the guests to congregate around the peninsula, in the adjoining dining room or outside at a large table on their charming covered porch. A pass through at the window serves guests via a counter on the porch. Adding a touch of green, an induction range was specified. White inset cabinetry with chrome latches and subway tile backsplashes compliment the traditional shingle style of the home. The cabinetry is chock full of accessories maximizing the functionality. A large wall cabinet to the counter hides small appliances. A pantry closet provides extra storage space. An adjoining bar area housing a beverage refrigerator, glassware and spirits is accessible to all eating areas. More cabinetry, an ice machine and an additional sink add another service area off the porch. Rough-hewn floors give a rustic feel while hiding any dirt and sand a large crowd can bring after a day at the beach. Star pendant lights, transoms, and plentiful windows illuminate the space. The granite slab counter continues down the side of the peninsula giving a strong architectural element.

The gas range functions as the focal point of the tumbled travertine backsplash. Note the pot-filler and 6-burner range with separate griddle for life's little pleasures, like chocolate chip-pancakes for the kiddos. The lighting and oven hood were masked so as not to overwhelm the use of these traditional materials (wood and natural stone).
