Steve has guided us along the way starting with grading the build site, navigating uncertainties (soil composition and other issues that have come up), to where we are now - working on the actual plans. Steve has listened to our ideas from the beginning and has communicated clearly along the way to be sure we both understand the vision for our home. Steve has been very patient with us as we have changed various aspects of the design to better fit our wants and needs. “The best part of building a house was working with Tiffany of Prudhomme Design and Interiors. She made the process so enjoyable and her knowledge of space and color is incomparable. The benefit of using Prudhomme Design and Interiors is that not only do you get the best architectural design but I love that Tiffany was also our decorator. Our furnishing are incredible, even after 8 years living in our home. I highly recommend using this company. I couldn't have been happier.”

“Arcon Architects & Builders designed and built our wonderful house on Lake Keowee in Seneca South Carolina. Their professional expertise coupled with years of practical experience ensured the house not only met our family's needs but was built on time and within budget. By carefully assessing the building site Arcon ensured the house afforded great lake views from every room while minimizing the need to remove mature hardwood trees that I so love. They coupled the site plan with wonderful architectural features like 3 foot overhangs to minimize afternoon sun and allow the windows to stay open even during the rain ! In addition the cantilevered deck affords a sense of "floating over the lake" while maximizing the views from the lower level rooms. Oh .. and did I mention the screen porch and stone fireplace, the barrel vaulted front entry, the beams and massive stone fireplace in the great room .. and and and ! They just did a great job for us !”

“My husband and I were very fortunate to have Robert Griffin, President of Griffin Architects, PA and Fireside Antiques, Asheville, NC provide us with a home makeover. Mr. Griffin is a well known and respected Asheville architect and designer, very knowledgeable and capable. He is experienced with both multi-million dollar homes and modest homes such as ours. One of the many things that impressed us was Mr. griffin's gracious attitude. Our home was shown the same attention and care as would be given a much larger project. He was consistently respectful and considerate, taking into account our personalities, lifestyle and the pets who share (and sometimes rule!) our home. Our house is eleven years old, and I could never get the interior "right". I knew we needed a lot of help. I had no idea how to bring my vision to life, or even what my vision was. We only had one piece of furniture, bought eleven years ago, that I still liked. I showed Mr. Griffin that piece and said that I wanted the rest of the house to have that modern look and feel. I knew there was a vibe I wanted our home to have but couldn't put in words and certainly had not a clue how to achieve. He nailed it! Working with us every step of the way, he brought my very cloudy vision to life, and on budget, in a timely fashion. Griffin Architects designed a personalized cabinet for TV and my husband's pottery. (He is a potter.) Mr. Griffin was able to see specifically what we needed for TV and pottery, along with a very striking area rug, furniture and art, all designed for our home. And designed with us; we always felt part of the project, our needs always top priority. Fireside Antiques designed beautiful draperies and other soft goods. Almost as important, this creative designer managed to make the project fun! We can honestly say it really was a fun project with a great outcome. We could not be more pleased. Pics are included. “We came to Brent with some pretty specific ideas but no understanding of how to put it all together to make a house! Brent was patient and guided us through the project and along with his associate James, helped bring our vision to reality. I'm not very good at envisioning a 3-dimensional project such as a house but Brent and James were able to create computer plans where we could remove walls, walk through rooms and alter roofing. He also very expertly guided our project through the historic review process and managed to get approval while we were in the midst of selling our home in PA and weren't really able to participate. His sense of humor and ability to work with our builder and the Historic Resources Commission has resulted in an almost-finished beautiful home!”

“Alice Dodson designed a house for us located on mountain property in Buncombe County, NC, in 2016. We love the house plan she designed for us and recommend her without reservation! She met every deadline she set for herself, often completing ahead of her self-imposed deadlines. She is very creative and extremely meticulous in her designs. She exceeded our expectations based on work we have seen by other architects in this area. She collaborates skillfully and willingly with other building professionals in the process. She has many years of experience and you can see this in her work product. Her fees are fair and she is very easy to discuss fees, deadlines and design decisions with. She is very knowledgeable about all parts of the building process that are not necessarily a part of her architectural design. She is very cost-conscious on behalf of her client--frequently advising us of ways to save money that we had not considered.”

“The project was a bathroom remodel disaster that SDM Designs took over and made into a place of beauty, as well as safety and security. In short, Mr. DerMargosian was a lifesaver. He took over the languishing and ill-conceived project, redesigned it in a way that not only made practical sense but was beautiful; hired wonderful, skilled professionals who got the job done within the time specified and within budget, and held my hand through the whole project. He was there to ensure quality every step of the way. He attended to the infrastructure damage and problems with as much concern as the aesthetic issues. This was a relatively small project in the scheme of things, but he gave it his exquisite attention and was always professional, always kind and helpful, always available for contact. He's a magician with designing spaces of exceptional flow and originality, with an uncanny ability to elevate his clients' ideas to spaces of surpassing beauty. I would recommend him to everyone - a dream to work with, sensitive, caring, professional, intensely creative, with years of experience both designing and compiling a team of professional workmen to execute his designs. “Last year, we hired Mark Sinsky to design our dream home in Asheville, NC, while we are living in Houston, TX. Mark was very thoughtful about our desires and wishes for our home, while also being respectful of the property we had chosen and how to make the best use of all our spectacular views. We got so much more than architectural drawings and specifications. We appreciate all of the creativity, thought, and heart that he put into the design of our home. It's EXACTLY why we wanted him on our team, especially since we were hundreds of miles away from the construction which began last year. Mark made many visits to our home and kept us completely up to date on any issues that needed adjustments and worked closely with our builder. Mark has created a real masterpiece , that we will enjoy throughout our retirement. (I resubmitting this because the project price was incorrect). Houzz only gives the option to show the project is over 100k, but you can see from the pictures, the upscale beautiful homes that Mark specifically creates for each individual home, while staying within any budget restraints requested by his clients. As the homeowners, we appreciated his detailed drawings that allowed us to determine where best to use our funds. It was a very pleasant experience working with Mark, and would definitely highly recommend AND use him again in the future!”
