Drafting Companies in Oak Park

“I’ve meant to write this review for a long time, because we are overjoyed with our new home. Clearly, embarking on the journey of building a new home can be a daunting step. It requires a leap of faith to trust someone with your vision for the place where you will live your life. I am writing this to offer that same confidence and encouragement to anyone currently standing at that threshold, as our experience working with Michael Klement and the team at Architectural Resource was nothing short of life-changing. From the very beginning, the AR team listened intently to our “dream list.” They didn't just meet our expectations; they honored our vision while developing it in ways we hadn't imagined possible. We wanted a home that would allow us to “age in place” with grace and ease, and the team delivered a space that is both stunning and extremely functional. They prioritized accessibility without compromising the aesthetics of the home, creating a seamless, flat floor plan throughout the main level that is perfect for my wife’s mobility needs (and for my own physical limitations). The home is fully ADA compliant, and the inclusion of an elevator serving all three floors has been a genius addition that we rely on daily. Every detail—from the dedicated library and office that make remote work actually “fun,” to the bike shop for my cycling fervor and the observation deck that frames our forest and pond views—reflects a deep understanding of how we live. Architectural Resource is a renowned expert in sustainable, off-the-grid design, and the AR team’s commitment to environmental stewardship is reflected in every corner of the property. The home is powered by solar and geothermal energy, and the site includes features like tiered landscaping and rain gardens to manage stormwater. Because of the team’s rigorous dedication to sustainability, our home achieved LEED Platinum certification—the highest honor given by that organization for homes that focus on environmental and human health. The house has also become the heart of our family life. AR’s guidance to “upsize” by including additional bedrooms was one of the best decisions we made; it has allowed us to host our entire family for the holidays, creating wonderful memories. Our kitchen, designed with dual appliances and an expansive island, has become the centerpiece for entertaining, while the separate four-season greenhouse—complete with features and utilities a Master Gardener could only dream of—has fulfilled my wife’s passion for planting. The team at Architectural Resource didn't just build us a house; they built us a sanctuary, where we can live out our lives in comfort and ease. If ever needed again, I would hire the AR team in a second. They turned our dreams into a reality that far exceeded what we thought was possible. If you are considering an architect for your own journey, I hope our experience gives you the courage to take that first step. You would be in the best possible hands.”

“My husband and I are building a custom home in Oxford Township, MI. We own the lot, we found a great builder, but we were having trouble with the floor plans. Our builder recommended a draftsman, who was a nice man, but he was very difficult to communicate with. We left that initial meeting with the impression that the draftsman was going to draw the house that he and the builder wanted - not the house we wanted. Luckily, I found Robert Kozloski & Associates on Houzz. I told Robert that he has been the easiest person to work with during this process, and that is 100% true. After our first meeting with Robert, my husband and I felt assured he was going to help us create our dream home. Robert is always open to questions and ideas. If our idea would not work, he would explain why and come up with suggestions on how to fix the problem. He was even kind enough to sketch-out ideas so that we could understand what it would look like before adding it to the blueprints. It is clear that Robert takes a lot of pride in his work, and his years of experience in both construction and architecture are a true asset to his clients. When my builder would say “No, you can’t do that,” I could always rely on Robert to come up with a solution based on his experience. Building a home is stressful, but thanks to Robert, and his willingness to always offer a quick reply by phone or email, he has helped us design a beautiful and classic home.”

“My wife and I consider ourselves fortunate to have benefited from Lou DesRosiers’ brilliant architectural work on several of our renovations over the years. We are in awe of his creative design skills, his attention to detail, his pursuit of excellence in everything he does and his ability to remove any design barriers to satisfy his clients’ needs. There is no design problem that Lou cannot solve. He is a very honest, trustworthy, talented, energetic architect whom we are proud to consider a friend. Lou recently directed the complete renovation of our newly purchased condo which we totally gutted and rebuilt over an 8 month period in 2015. We are delighted with the end product of this renovation which we consider a showpiece. It includes a number of innovative design features including the use of “switch glass” for the custom front door, Lou’s signature tiered cove ceilings, Juno lighting, Lutron shades, strategically placed doors and windows that maximize lake views, a state-of-the-art kitchen and AV system, and several home automation features. We recommend DesRosiers Architects unconditionally and are available to elaborate on our assessment or answer any questions related to their work for us. Les & Chris”
