Mark brought as many samples as I requested to my unit. He was straightforward about the pros and cons of laminate. The price quote was accurate.
After I paid half the cost, they ordered the laminate. There was only a short wait from the down payment to the installation, shorter than estimated.
The installation took the expected 2 days. The installers were very good about leaving open passages wide enough for me to go through in my wheelchair, and left the bedroom clear so I could stay overnight.
The laminate looks great! I'm happy with my selection, Mannington Berkshire Maple. I'm pleased with the speed of the installation, and Mark's helpfulness and quick response to e-mails.”

“I needed to replace carpeting that was installed a month earlier because it was so ugly. I browsed at Carpetland and S& G Carpets, both in Pleasanton. Carpetland had 1) a better selection of carpets; 2) $99 coupon for entire house installation; 3) $30/room to move furniture. S&G charges 1) 99 cents/square foot for installation; and 2) $75/room to move furniture. At Carpetland, I met Jeff Ernst, who asked me about pet and people traffic. I told him the cost of the ugly carpeting. While I didn't set a limit on cost, Jeff showed me better quality carpeting and padding that was moderately more than the ugly job. When he was measuring carpeting at the house, he was thorough in explaining the deficiencies of the ugly carpeting and padding. He lent me carpeting samples. Carpetland granted me a discount for the interior designer who referred me to Carpetland. Their installation staff was friendly about scheduling the job. Luis, the installer, worked hard solo since his assistant was sick. The completed installation was tidy with finished straight alignment throughout the house. When I need carpeting or flooring at my investment properties, I will hire Carpetland.”
