Southwest Door and Sash Inc.
Door Replacement Installers in Arizona
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsAugust 9, 2021
“Southwest Door Did a very good job, that was detailed out in every aspect, I’ve yet to see something I would have them do over. I’ve worked in the trades for 50 years, only reason I didn’t do it myself is time frame, and having other stick in the fire, picking my battles at this age! Great job!”

“I ordered two custom security screen doors for my Tucson, AZ home and every step of the process with them was amazing. First call to, sales call to the installation and the product. They were installed in December and they look and work beautifully. I highly recommend this company.”

“I ran into sourcing problems for windows and doors on a solar greenhouse where I needed items without low E to maximize solar gain. After stumbling around to find solar skylights, windows and doors with a VT > .70 and SHGC >.70, Scott West at Design West came to my rescue. He sourced exactly what I needed, answered all my questions and provided me with the products I needed on time. If you need any specialty items, Design West is the place you will find it, plus their service and pricing beat the big box stores hands down!”

“Paul Zimmerman will always be my contractor. Last year, he did a complete demo and remodel in my master bathroom, as well as a 3/4 remodel of my guest bathroom. I didn’t have a clue what to do with my master bathroom shower area and he rattled off several options, each with different variations that would suit my needs. I had had other contractors come in to discuss and give me bids, but none of them had the flexible mind that Paul has, not only with design, but with great money saving ideas. He is also willing to offer his opinions when I ask or when he sees my confusion over what to do. What I had in the master bath was an old shower, probably since 1981, with ugly tiles, impossible to clean, and worst of all, the sliding glass shower door that moved inside a track that easily got filthy and I despised cleaning. My flooring was so plain and ugly, the bugs couldn’t even bear to see it anymore. I also had the same dreary sinks and vanity. My guest bath I was just plain bored of. And I never did like the piping that showed behind the pedestal sink. Again, the drab floor needed a major makeover. Now I have a wonderful tiled wall for the shower. Paul knew just how to lay two rows of decorative tile, between which the large tiles lay in a diagonal pattern; above and below the decorative tile is laid in a straight type of pattern. He also put a little "bench" in the corner. Paul also discovered that he could create an inset for shampoos and soaps, so that is a great use of space. (He really knows how a house is built!) A curtain is not even needed, though I chose to get one anyway. I used the same tile for the flooring. And for the countertop for which I was considering a granite slab, Paul came up with the idea of getting large tiles instead. So my cost went from probably over $1,000 to something like $3.20 for each of 6 tiles. All of my fixtures are now in the oil rubbed bronze that I love, including the shower head which was recommended by Paul. Now in my guest bathroom, I knew I wanted a vessel sink. I looked at so many and found just what I wanted at the place Paul recommended. Found a great vanity, too. I also changed my mirror and lighting to go with my rustic theme. And my flooring says it all with the rustic; I absolutely love the stone. Well as long as I’m remodeling, I figured I’d change out the medicine cabinets and toilets, too. Paul recommended the type of toilet that sits higher than my current one. I love them! And they never fail to come up in comments from my guests!”

WGH Woodworking

“I wanted a wood front entrance door for a house I was building & found this company mentioned in a magazine article. I checked out his website & called the owner, Wayne Hausknecht, with an inquiry. He seemed very professional & did not rush through any of my questions. Over a period of time a design was decided upon & he subsequently sent me a very professional proposal detailing the cost & specifics. The door was shipped to me on time & the quality of the workmanship was impeccable. I have had the door on my house now for 10 years & it looks & operates the same as the day it was installed. Wayne is not only a professional carpenter but an artist as well. I would recommend him to anyone without hesitation.”

Signature Iron Doors
Door Replacement Installers in Arizona
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsSeptember 6, 2014
“When I bought my house in November 2013 I really wanted an Iron Door. I went to several local retailers that either supply or manufacture Iron Doors and ended up choosing Signature Iron Doors. I took a picture of the door I wanted into the office, asked if they could make that door (it was not one that they had in their brochure). They did a CAD drawing, came out and measured my opening, we agreed on price and off we went. When it was finished, they delivered it (sight unseen) and installed it and it was perfect. My only issue was that it took about 3 weeks longer than estimated. My friends all comment that it's like walking into a vault because the door is so heavy but flows perfectly once opened. I could not be happier with the finished product. Would I do it again? In a New York minute!”
