“Darcy built our dream home in 2000. It is a magnificent piece of work, with many ingenuous ideas and custom additions that add to it's total uniqueness and beauty. The home is close to 4,000 sq ft. It is 2 stories, and has 4 bedrooms with custom closets, 4 and 1/2 baths, an upper level toy room, and a gift wrapping/storage room. The main level has a gorgeous custom kitchen with fireplace, a huge mudroom with utility sink and plenty of storage, a 2 story great room with fireplace and balcony, a beautiful office with French doors, and lovely dining room. The master bedroom is on the main level. The master bedroom and the kitchen have twin bump out bays with French doors that lead onto the patio. The full finished basement is complete with a full bath and has a huge fireplace, and a custom built "dog room", with a raised tub for easy canine bathing, and a walk out door to easily accommodate the comings and goings of pets. There are so many storage closets that even I, a huge pack rat, had empty shelves! The house also is heated and cooled with geo-thermal, with Darcy co-ordinating the installation of the system with the HVAC company. Darcy doesn't build many homes from scratch due to his refusal to lower his standards, and thus his price, as a home is being built. However, this did not deter us, and we were soo fortunate that he decided to take our project on. Yes, it was not a cheap build, however, it still stands today (unfortunately for me, with a new owner) as the standout home in Douglas County, Illinois. The basement was dug on March 2, 2000, and we were moving in on Oct 2nd of 2000. Not only did Darcy and his crew and sub-contractors do superior work, they were very timely with the build. Now that I have written about the home that Darcy built for us, I miss it even more than ever. It was a once in a time experience, and the 5 years we lived in the home were the happiest years of my life! So, thank you, Darcy for the experience and the happy memories.”

“We asked Leman Builders to add another garage to our house. At the time, they were extremely busy but they agreed to do the job Jason and his crew met the time line for completion. Every man on the job site was professional, friendly, and accommodating. They cleaned up at the end of every day. Workmanship was top grade. The final bill was exactly the same as the original bid, even though we asked for a couple of changes. We are asking him to come back this Spring to do some more work for us.”

“Shane remodeled both of our bathrooms at the same time and did a superb job! Our house was built by a brick mason and presents a lot of unique challenges for any construction project. We had him back to build custom shelving in one of the bedrooms and are on the schedule again to have our kitchen done. Highly recommend Custom Home Updates.”

“Worked very closely with Mr. Hudson in the time that his team was remodeling our home. Our work experience started when the main water line to our home started leaking in 2013. He quoted me a very good price. When my wife and I hired his company to do the work, he had a team on site and working to correct the leaking main. Within the first day they had the main repaired , but because of a tree problem, which they ran into; it took another day the clean up the site. We have been working with them ever since. I should mention at this point that, I was the Engineering Manager for a large manufacturing company. I did a large amount of design work, and worked with a large number of outside contractors. We have had some minor disagreements with my design work on this project, but my wife and I are happy with their work.”
