“Ted Leach with Vail Custom Builders (VCB) built our home on Matterhorn Circle in Vail. I can't say enough about Ted and his crew. We have been in our new home now for one year, and I still can't get over what a fantastic job VCB did for us. We entered the home building process, nervously, like most people probably do. Ted was upfront and honest throughout the process. VCB set expectations and fulfilled them. At no point did we feel in the dark, even during times when we were having a difficult time making decisions. Now one year later we love our home. I am more and more appreciative of the quality of craftmanship, and thought that went into every aspect. I am hopeful that this is our "forever home," but if it is not, I wouldn't hesitate to build again with Ted Leach, and Vail Custom Builders. Thanks Ted.”

“Did a great job building my house. It turned out to be well built. Close to budget and under a year to build! Tony Rutgers has assembled an A team with dedicated foremen and supervisors to get the job done. He has subs that show up and get the job done and he is fair with the pricing of fixing mistakes. He and his crew are all delightful to work with. They worked very well with my designer, Michael Paxton.”

“Gary built a bar top for us, using wide plank knotty alder. It was a tricky project due to the log post that was located in the middle of the bar. The project required a skilled, patient, precise, knowledgeable craftsman. As with many projects the plan changed a bit as he got into it. The bar top is beautiful. Gary is a flexible thinker and gave me a few choices, as alternatives. I appreciated being respected in this manner. He is a friendly, respectful, punctual, skilled craftsman. I would certainly recommend him and will hire him again.”
