“I purchased a home in September 2019 and had the Simplistic Inceptions construction company renovate my home. The renovation included removing walls, painting the whole house, replacing all the flooring, lighting, patch holes in walls, and replacing back-splashes in three baths and the kitchen. I can't tell you how happy I am this family-owned business that takes pride in what they do. The employees' team was great to work with, professional, respectful, and committed to excellence—their attention to detail and craftmanship precisely what I wanted and needed to update my home. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who has a home project to be done. Thank you, it does not seem like enough to this company. “There are lots of things that make a contractor right for a particular project. Most people want to know about the contractor's prior work, his or her ability to meet deadlines and how he or she prices her work. Ellington Homes is top notch on all of these factors, but that's not the main reason why it deserves 5 stars. The reason is Ellington Homes'--and in particular Matt Ellington's--honesty and integrity. When you hire a contractor for a major job, it is virtually impossible to keep track of all the different ways your contractor is spending your money. If you don't believe me, try following around every one of the 200 sheets of plywood that just got delivered to the job site, and figure out whether 5 or 6 of them were wasted, trucked off to another job site or simply given away to a sub-contractor. Trust me, it's virtually impossible. They only way you know that you didn't waste money on plywood (or the 10,000 other things that must be bought during the process) is to know that you're dealing with a honest contractor. I'm here to tell you that Matt is as honest as they come (and no, I'm not his dad or wife or somebody who has a stake in the game here). Here's an easy example: Matt Ellington deducted $50 from our final bill because he needed to put some trash from a different job site into the dumpster at our job site. Matt could've easily "borrowed" a little extra dumpster space without anyone noticing. But he didn't. It's a small thing, but it can really add up. So, of course, make sure that your contractor can meet deadlines, is within your price range and has a good eye for design. But whatever you do, make sure you're dealing with an honest person. Otherwise, you'll end up paying for more than you ever imagined. Ellington Homes is as trustworthy a contractor as I've encountered.”

“We interviewed several builders last year when we set out to expand our home at Lake Anna. Before we found Battlefield Homes, we had not found any that met our standards. By standards, I mean professionalism, responsiveness, communication, and timeliness – in addition to good quality workmanship. We had received some cost estimates from other builders that were either astronomical or suspiciously low. We had started to wonder if any of them could be trusted. From the very beginning, our instincts told us that we could entrust Allen Harrison and his team at Battlefield with this project which was near and dear to our hearts . That decision has proved to be the best decision we could have made. Battlefield Construction is professionalism at all levels. Ours was a complex project because it was a renovation, and the original home had several construction issues that needed to be addressed. We were made aware of the potential challenges before construction began, and as the project was carried out, we were always kept up to date. We were able to adjust the project to keep costs down, while still getting the results we wanted. Allen and the team helped us to make informed decisions so we didn’t feel like we were compromising on quality or functionality. We have now been enjoying our newly remodeled lake house for 4 months. This renovation has far exceeded our expectations of what we initially hoped for. The quality is superior and we continue to be pleased by small construction details which are so thoughfully executed. Thank you Allen, for maintaining our trust in your team throughout the project. You and your team, especially Bernie and Wallace, have been a pleasure to work with. We are grateful to you for delivering to us this home that we will enjoy for years to come!!”
