“I hired Fitzgerald Construction via a word-of-mouth recommendation from good friends who had used them. My home was built in 1946, and the sole bathroom was in poor shape and I'd always wanted to renovate and redesign it. In addition, there were several loosely related issues relating to structure I wanted to address, including an exterior wall that had some plaster issues and needed to be shored up and a window on that same wall that I wanted moved. Fitzgerald Construction developed a plan to address all of it and provided enough flexibllity so that with the big decisions out of the way up front, as they started work on the bathroom they could present smaller decisions to me as needed and I could finalize details step by step. This worked really well, and I was able to keep tabs on their progress and keep shaping how the design was shaping up even while living away from the work site. I don't think the job would have worked out as it did were it not for that tight communication loop. Fitzgerald Construction did an incredible job from start to finish. This was my first home renovation project, and they served as facilitators throughout the process, helping me consider and evaluate options, solidify my vision for the design, and anticipating issues and challenges and bringing them to me before they arose. This included everything from selecting hardware and materials, to placing and sizing the window, to how to address the inevitable older home structural and functional issues that came up as we uncovered some of the house guts.
