“We hired EPC to remodel two bathrooms and the entryway to our house in Ventura. Gary and Jesse were upbeat and nice to work with. Their skilled staff were all courteous, reliable, efficient, and non-smokers. They were perfectionists and took pride in their work. We are very happy with the quality of the workmanship and the price we paid. Our only minor complaint is that the staff were spread pretty thin across EPC jobs, with our project taking nearly 4 months to complete (longer than projected).”

This amazing design is beginning to take shape and will showcase the clients desires perfectly.Tom was instrumental in connecting with us through the Client.. Tom has been very professional throughout the choosing of the hard surface and architectural elements to be placed in the home. It is always nice to find through, and thoughtful professionals to work beside.”

“I interviewed a number of architects and talked to a couple of references before selecting David Ferrin and Arketype Architects for my rather different project, that of building a two story home on top of an existing stone warehouse, providing three floors plus roof-deck in a tight urban setting. Before I selected him, I was impressed with his "can-do" attitude and examples of some of his thinking outside-the-box. The design work I saw was classy and much of it different. His use of materials tends towards the green but when price becomes an issue, he will demur or come up with an alternative. David is quietly spoken and his demeanor is thoughtful, low-key and confident. The project is still 12 months away from completion (I'm writing this in May 2015 ) so it isn't possible to give you final comment but to this point I have been VERY happy with his work. He is quick to effect changes and is very thorough with his plans, attention to detail (according to several other architects and planners) being well above what is normally produced. I swear this attention to detail is what allowed our plans to get through to permitting in so few hearings.”

“I have worked with Mike Seay and AAA Development on two projects now and I can't say enough great things about them. The entire crew is knowledgeable and so helpful in getting things done in a timely manner. They do beautiful work and are very easy to work with. As long as I am able to refer clients to a construction company I will be referring them to AAA Development.”

“We met Dulcie through an introduction from the property owner for this project. From our first meeting we knew we were working with not only a superb design professional but someone that exhibits great professionalism amongst all the parties involved in any project, mainly the client, the contractor and the other consultants. We recommend her to anyone needing an architect! We look forward to working with her and her firm in the future.”
Hahka Kitchens

“Ktichen renovation. First experience with remodeling. The Hahka team were professional and supportive. Designer Linda Billings was extremely accessible and helpful. Her suggestion to incorporate an island with the character of furniture is the statement piece that adds the "wow" factor to our kitchen. General contractor Randy Hahka very clearly has a personal interest in quality work. He strongly lobbied for the replacement of louvered pantry and laundry doors with doors that more closely matched the new cabinetry-although more costly, this was definitely the right decision from a design perspective. The construction team were skillful, friendly, honest and easy to work with. We did have a few whoopsies, but I understand this is par for the course with renovation projects and at the end, nothing was left unresolved. The team very clearly made great efforts to provide customer satisfaction. Job was not completed on time, mainly due to issues with pantry/laundry doors. Very happy with the results of our project.”

“We interviewed 13 different contractors before hiring Eileen to remodel our house. She was initially working with an "interior designer" that we had previously retained, but it turned out that at best, she was an interior decorator. We were really trying to give the "designer" the benefit of the doubt because I had a prior relationship with her through my alumni association and we had become friends, but Eileen became concerned because her "design" ideas weren't going to work well for functional and aesthetic reasons. Eileen finally scheduled a meeting for all of us to attend, but the "designer" failed to show up. In any event, when we learned about the extent of the problems, we immediately terminated the "designer." It later came to light that the "designer" had also charged us inappropriately and had us purchase materials at the highest priced stores in order to increase the size of her fees. In any event, Eileen felt so sorry for us and she had been an interior designer before she became a licensed contractor. Eileen took over the role of designer and did not charge us for that additional role because she couldn't believe what we had paid already in that regard. In any event, Eileen and her crew were very diligent and met their time deadlines. With such a large job, it is not unusual for some problems to arise. To her credit, Eileen always took responsibility for any such issues. In fact, the roof leaked over a year after her roofer had done repairs in that area and Eileen made sure that the roof was fixed properly and that the damage caused by the leak was corrected to our satisfaction. We were so impressed with Eileen and liked working with her so much, that she became a close personal friend. We most recently saw her at our wedding on May 3rd, over three years after she remodeled our house.”
