“I contracted Curtis White Companies to build a home plan that I had found on the internet. Joe and Katie were very easy to work with -- they explained everything that had to be done and gave realistic expectations of how the process would work. Once construction began, they were very good keeping me updated on progress and aware of what steps needed to be taken. They were always good about hitting specific target dates (despite a very rainy summer to work in) and kept me in the know on the things I needed to have to them. In the end, the final product is the home I was hoping for and I couldn't be happier. I would recommend Joe and Katie to anyone looking to build a house.”

“We contracted with Carlisle builders to construct our fourth new home in August 2013. A 4200 square foot basement rancher. Best experience in a new construction home build by far. Initial concerns with cost plus model were aliviated by builders willingness to assess cost of each building phase, often offering price saving options. We new every step what the costs would be. Invoices are detailed to include each expenditure. We have never seen a builder maintain such a steady stream of subs, seems like there were only a handful of days nothing was happening. Saved on schedule, which ultimately saves on cost with construction loans. Quality of work was outstanding, and small punch list items were quickly resolved prior to and after move in. We never had a problem getting the builder back to the house to fix anything. Keith made himself as often as we requested to answer questions, and was seen visiting the site almost daily. His on site managers were helpful as well, and always appeared professional. Additionally, his on site staff kept the area clean of trash in respect of neighboring homes. We had previously owned a home Carlisle builders had built, which our home inspector remarked on his report was one of the best built he had looked at. An important factor when and if considering resale. Every nook of the home was used to maximize storage space. Our view of this builder is ethical and fair. We would not hesitate to use his services again.”

“We had a great experience working with Dennis Smothers. We had gotten quotes from a couple of different construction companies and we ultimately decided to go with Benchmark because of his competitive quote. Dennis was very responsive and was committed to making sure everything was done to our satisfaction. On those occasions when things didn't go according to plan, Dennis always made it right. We were very pleased with the work done on the main level (complete kitchen remodel/expansion, bath, hardwood floor installation, replacement of doors, sliding glass doors, 2 sets of stairs, incorporation of main level laundry center) and basement (re-configuring the bonus room to add a separate entrance to the laundry and to add a closet to the bonus room so it would count as a 5th bedroom rather than just a bonus room). We came in on budget and decided to move forward with expanding our master bath. We took down a wall that previously divided the bathroom and a closet to create a more spacious and elegant ensuite master bath. The home I (Lori) have lived in for 13 years feels like a new house, and my husband (John) and I are thoroughly enjoying it. This renovation achieved our goals and exceeded our expectations. We plan to hire Dennis to do at least one additional project (decking) in the coming months. Our remodel was featured in a local magazine called "Discover" (published by Partners By Design), and the photographer who photographed the kitchen (Michael Callahan) got some GREAT shots of the finished remodel which you can see here (http://discoverstclair.com/st-clair-living/renovations-by-the-water/) or you see the amazing print version starting on page 42 (http://issuu.com/discoverstclair/docs/discover_st_clair_aug_2013).”

“During the month of August 2012, I contacted Harmony Remodeling, Inc. for an estimate/consultation to do some renovations on our property primarily on the outside of my house. We needed repairs to a basement leaking every time it rained. The following projects were completed to my satisfaction: replace french drain in crawlspace, re-grade front yard, build rock retaining wall, tie in and re-route downspouts, remove and replace lower section of driveway, replace garage doors, remove gutters and replace with larger gutters, and waterproof entire basement wall. I was very pleased with the respectful workers and the outstanding workmanship.”
