I had heard horror stories from others that had built custom homes that "you and your builder will hate each other by the time your house is finished". After hearing that, I was concerned that I would have to compromise a lot on my thoughts and ideas for the house and on the overall quality that I would likely be demanding. Turns out there was no reason to feel that way. Quality was never an issue. I thought I would have to be present nearly every day to oversee things to be sure they were done right but I soon realized that was not necessary. They had things well under control without me and it was a big relief knowing that things would be done right. I can honestly say that my wife and I have actually become closer and better friends with Mike and Kim than we were before we built. In fact, we have been out to dinner with them several times since our home was completed. They were both very helpful all along the way during construction and were more like partners in the process rather than builders. Picking out colors, styles, etc. seemed like a daunting task but Kim was right with us holding our hand every step of the way. Early after moving in, there were a few minor issues that needed attention and Mike was very prompt about coming out to fix/repair when I notified him. We have had no major warranty issues at all since moving in. Overall, we have no regrets and would not think twice about using Mike and Kim again as our builders. You will be very pleased with their professionalism and the quality of the finished product. They will stand behind everything they do!”
