“We have a lovely little mill cottage that is almost 100 years old and we were finally ready to restore and update the exterior. I was frozen with indecision on color choices, trim, etc. We wanted to respect and preserve the character, but also find a way to make the house stand out as a centerpiece to our gardens. I found Sarah through a local search on Houzz, decided to 'cold call' her and in less than 5 minutes, I was convinced she was exactly the right designer for us! She was warm and friendly; she had a background in historical restoration; she made me feel that my business was important, even though it wasn't a large job, and she was open to working creatively with some constraints that we had. With just a few questions, she understood where we wanted to go and she was able to take our somewhat vague guidance and our pictures and distill that into a great finished vision - with several smart options. I wasn't sure about working 'virtually' with someone that would not have the 'in person experience' of seeing our home, but Sarah did her homework, she was always prompt and thorough in her responses to us and her guidance was practical. The final design suggestions were spot on! We enjoyed the experience and we definitely look forward to working with Sarah again.”
