“Project: Apartment Combination & Gut Renovation (150 W 79th St) Timeline: May 19th – Nov 14th We hired KBR Design & Build for a pretty massive undertaking—combining units into a single 1,200 SF home. If you've ever dealt with NYC co-ops or pre-war buildings, you know how stressful this can be, but Noam and Yosi have a really solid operation. The biggest thing for us was the peace of mind. KBR is a well-established company with an actual, permanently staffed office. Knowing that Eleena (Project Coordinator) was there during business hours to handle the logistics, and that we weren't just chasing a contractor on a cell phone, was huge. They’re clearly in this for the long haul. Our Project Manager, Will, was the one making it happen on the ground. He managed a very technical scope, including: Full MEP Overhaul: They didn't just move things around; they did a complete mechanical, electrical, and plumbing update. This included a new multi-zone HVAC system, Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV), two new electrical load centers with all new branch circuits, and all new sanitary piping in the cinder concrete slab. Complex Flooring: We did hardwood throughout the whole place, and they were diligent about the subfloor acoustic underlayment, which was a strict requirement for our building. Superintendent Coordination: Will was great at working with our building super to keep things moving and ensure we stayed in compliance with all site protections. Michelle also did a great job helping us bridge the design gap between the two units so the final result felt like one cohesive home. If you want a team that can handle the high-stakes technical side of a Manhattan combination without disappearing on you, hire this crew.”

“We completed a full apartment renovation with Klein, including redoing our floors throughout the apartment, a new kitchen, and repainting the living room. Adam and his team were a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. During the design phase, Ajara was creative in reviewing our inspiration pictures and making an amazing design that both captured our aesthetic but also maximized our small space. During the actual construction process, Tim was the ideal project manager, leading the team on site, organizing subcontractors, and communicating with us. The team on site was very professional, timely, and clean. They addressed our impromptu, ad-hoc requests--however annoying! We are grateful for Adam's guidance throughout the job and his willingness to talk through items via message or on a call. While there was a delay in commencing the work, once it began, the team was very organized. We couldn't be happier with the final product. “We reached out to Hoboken Kitchen & Bath (Tony Theodore) to help us renovate our kitchen and bathroom. Our personal experience from initial meeting to final punch list and completion was awesome. We also had the added challenges of doing this from a distance since moving from Hoboken to what is now our primary home in Hawaii. We especially needed someone that we could trust and rely on for overseeing our Hoboken renovation from beginning to end since we would not be local during most of the project. Tony from Hoboken Kitchen & Bath promptly met us to do a walk thru of our project. He gave us some great ideas and we were glad to have them in order to help us with our final decision on what to do and what not to do. We wanted this renovation to be for us and also to ensure we were getting as much value added as possible from this project. Tony called out things to help us, some of which suggested things like we should expand our counter top to accommodate more storage and seating, a pocket door solution to solve for working around a small bathroom footprint, more lighting to make things more uniform. He literally made our kitchen look super customized and our bath/shower combination feel like a luxury spa and hotel. At the end of the day, he and his team transferred builder grade to customized in weeks. Tony and his team was also incredibly flexible throughout the renovation. Even as we were coming up with “what if” situations he and his team accommodated everything that was reasonably possible and within our budget, such as adding a glass enclosure to our toilet and changing the vanity for more space even as they were close to completion. He gave us reasonable updated estimates for these last minute client initiated add ons and was able to layer this into his team and their schedules. The communication was great throughout and he also kept our very strict condo association and admin team updated which we greatly appreciated for sure. Our renovation finished only about a week longer than expected but that was due to the added extras that were not part of our original scope so we were very grateful for his team being able to keep to the estimated timeline.. Lastly, we really love our new kitchen and bathroom and all our family and friends that have stayed and used our apartment to date have all complimented on how nice and comfortable they were when using our newly renovated apartment. Based upon our personal experience, we highly recommend Tony, his team and Hoboken Kitchen & Bath. We were fortunate enough to have teamed up with a skilled contractor and designer who not only cares about the work but also his client relationships.
