“Our home is located on Cross Street in the Cross-Melville heritage district of Dundas, Ontario. The beautiful historic wooden windows of our home had been covered by previous owners with unsightly painted aluminum storms. In our search to have wooden storms built to replace the aluminum storm window, we discovered Alan Stacey of Heritage Mill. Having previously done a Wood Sash Window Restoration workshop with Christopher Cooper of Edifice – Old Home magazine, I knew what I was looking for and what needed to be done. After meeting with Alan and seeing his portfolio of window and door restoration and replication, replication of interior and exterior heritage woodwork, hand carving and hand turning as well as period finishes, I knew Alan was, without a doubt, perfect for the job.
