Our goal on this project was to create a live-able and open feeling space in a 690 square foot modern farmhouse. We planned for an open feeling space by installing tall windows and doors, utilizing pocket doors and building a vaulted ceiling. An efficient layout with hidden kitchen appliances and a concealed laundry space, built in tv and work desk, carefully selected furniture pieces and a bright and white colour palette combine to make this tiny house feel like a home. We achieved our goal of building a functionally beautiful space where we comfortably host a few friends and spend time together as a family.

A wide multi-fold door completely opens the new dining room to the outdoors, while its generous veranda roof shades the interior space from the western sun. This porch features an outdoor countertop and sink for washing vegetables on their way from the garden to the kitchen and table.

Prairie style contemporary home with an Asian influence. Very organic feel using heavy Mission Springs stone, with urns at either side of entry. All overhangs are 4-6 feet, with dual roof pitches. Stepping stones were used to transition grade to walkout level below. The driveway uses pavers, with an accept of bordering pavers. Note reveal detail under the stone caps.

RHEINZINK
The design inspiration for this private residence located in Savannah, GA comes from the architectural and cultural influences of the Caribbean Islands. A primary design goal was to create a one-story house that suited the environment and also broke up the nearly 18,000 square feet of living area. Design for the project was provided by GreenLine Architecture, Savannah.
More than 40,000 sq. ft. of RHEINZINK Double Lock Standing Seam roof panels were utilized throughout the complex. The 0.8mm/22 gauge panels were finished with Pre-weathered Graphite Gray. The RHEINZINK panels were fabricated by MetalQuarters, Savannah, and installed by Integrated Construction and Restoration, Waverly, GA. The RHEINZINK distributor on the project was MetalTech—USA, Peachtree City, GA.
Morehouse MacDonald & Associates, Inc. Architects
Morehouse MacDonald and Associates worked with landscape architect Gregory Lombardi and interior designer James Radin to create this contemporary take on the Arts and Craft style for a discerning Boston client. New Hampshire granite was selected to establish a strong base or plinth for the house. Careful use of stucco, corbeled overhangs, and layered roof lines generate a sturdy yet elegant statement.
