Solid Apollo LED
Justin Moorland. Solid Apollo LED. Here Waterproof Pure White LED Strip Lights were added behind the bathroom mirrors, as back lighting, for an incredible indirect lighting effect. The soft glow from the strip light not only adds to the modern layout of the bathroom, but also keeps with the simplistic design as no lighting fixtures disturb the well planned design. The Waterproof LED Strip Lights are easy to control and easy to dim for just the right amount of light. Here the LED Strip Light was placed along the edges of the back of the mirrors, and then the mirror was hung just over an inch away from the wall to avoid creating hot spots (where individual LED's are shown) for a completely smooth linear lighting effect all around the mirror.

The abundance of sparkling surfaces adds a high style to the interior of this bathroom. A few elegant small lamps are used in this bathroom, the light from which is perfectly reflected by polished, mirrored and glass surfaces. This reflection makes the bathroom look bright. In addition, the white surfaces create a sense of space.

NICHEdg
The bathroom now has an open and airy feel. Our client didn't want a glass enclosure, so a simple textured curtain and Turkish towels add dimension while ALSO softening the look. The new bathtub is deep and perfect for a therapeutic soak. The shower niche is finished with glass shelves to maintain an uncluttered look while offering a great deal of storage - no more rusty shower caddies in this space. Meanwhile, the polished nickel finishes and mirrored medicine cabinet reflect light to create a brighter space, which is key in a bathroom without a natural light source. The redesigned bathroom is now functional, timeless and offers a great deal of storage. It is a wonderful space to pamper oneself in.

Embark on an Ozarks excursion with a modest 1,300 square-foot design called The Flatlands. It’s a basic human drive to want to surround oneself with beautiful, traditional, or even timeless landscapes like those witnessed in the Ozark region of Missouri and Arkansas. Believe it or not, this secluded and remote landscape edges ever closer to easily achievable reality thanks to innovations in technology never before seen. This design features a large living space, ample master suite, and an efficient kitchen/dining arrangement with adjacent screened porch. In addition, this design incorporates a second-level loft space with clerestory views and a generous wrap-around exterior deck.

Hideaway, Le Marche - San Marino, Italy
A historical Hideaway.

A well-hidden place where the spirit finds its peace, nested between the Romagna, the Marches and Tuscany. Entering the gate, one leaves behind the pace of chaotic lives, and abandons itself to the joy of living of this ancient land. It is meant to be understood as a site of experience, where nature, culture, history and pleasure are elevated to the centre of things in order to finally rediscover it in oneself. A sort of “back to the simplicity”, aiming to dedicate oneself to observation and drawing from it valuable experiences for one’s life. Each of the three houses presents itself as an unexpected world in its own right, closed in on itself and yet a harmonious part of the whole, waiting to be enlivened by lively laughter, animated conversation and playfulness. This territory is a paradise for lovers of nature and the great outdoors. The sheer variety of places and landscapes enables visitors to take excursions on foot, on horseback or by mountain bike. History and architecture enthusiasts can follow an itinerary of strongholds and castles dotted around the area. Lovers of gourmet food will discover a full range of traditional dishes and quality local produce all year round. The rich variety of museums enables exploration into the rural arts, medieval architecture, archaeological finds and contemporary art.

Free ebook, Creating the Ideal Kitchen. DOWNLOAD NOW

My husband and I had the opportunity to completely gut and remodel a very tired 1950’s Garrison colonial. We knew that the idea of a semi-open floor plan would be ideal for our family. Space saving solutions started with the design of a banquet in the kitchen. The banquet’s focal point is the two stained glass windows on either end that help to capture daylight from the adjoining spaces.
Material selections for the kitchen were driven by the desire for a bright, casual and uncomplicated look. The plan began with 3 large windows centered over a white farmhouse sink and overlooking the backyard. A large island acts as the kitchen’s work center and rounds out seating options in the room. White inset cabinetry is offset with a mix of materials including soapstone, cherry butcher block, stainless appliances, oak flooring and rustic white tiles that rise to the ceiling creating a dramatic backdrop for an arched range hood. Multiple mullioned glass doors keep the kitchen open, bright and airy.
A palette of grayish greens and blues throughout the house helps to meld the white kitchen and trim detail with existing furnishings. In-cabinet lighting as well as task and undercabinet lighting complements the recessed can lights and help to complete the light and airy look of the space.
