“The best part of building a house was working with Tiffany of Prudhomme Design and Interiors. She made the process so enjoyable and her knowledge of space and color is incomparable. The benefit of using Prudhomme Design and Interiors is that not only do you get the best architectural design but I love that Tiffany was also our decorator. “Happy to provide my highest recommendation for Rand and Home Architects. It can be difficult for one architect to recommend another as we all tend to think we, ourselves, are the best. In this case, my hat is off to Rand on a number of counts. First of all, he is a consummate professional dedicated to his clients and his profession who diligently works toward staying on top of best practices for detailing for quality construction, energy conservation and attention to balancing short term and long term costs. Secondly, kudos to Rand for the quality of his design work. He does not have a "style" that he forces on clients, but is rather able to design to meet the desires and tastes of his clients. Third, his dedication to the profession of architecture is evident in his work to help educate both clients and architects with insights gained through years of experience. OK, that's the truth about Rand. Just don't tell him that any other architect actually said these things as it may induce shock. :) If you are in his area and considering an architect - call him. “Toby Witte worked closely withe us to design the modern home of our dreams. We came to Toby with a set budget and he did an excellent job of accommodating our budget while also keeping the important aspects of the design in play. Toby has a wonderfully creative mind and is not afraid to design a plan which is forward thinking while also based in traditional concepts used by his predecessors such as Bauhaus and Frank Lloyd Wright. Toby does a great job of considering the environment in building a "green" home while also taking into consideration how to incorporate elements such as sun and moonlight into the interior of the home. His use of the many windows, strategically placed, has been a source of pleasure for us as we enjoy beams of sun and moonlight daily. Toby goes above and beyond to ensure the home is structurally sound and to ensure that proper drainage is top of mind. Toby's understanding of modern style is paramount is his design and we were thrilled with the customizations.”

“We came to Brent with some pretty specific ideas but no understanding of how to put it all together to make a house! Brent was patient and guided us through the project and along with his associate James, helped bring our vision to reality. I'm not very good at envisioning a 3-dimensional project such as a house but Brent and James were able to create computer plans where we could remove walls, walk through rooms and alter roofing. He also very expertly guided our project through the historic review process and managed to get approval while we were in the midst of selling our home in PA and weren't really able to participate. His sense of humor and ability to work with our builder and the Historic Resources Commission has resulted in an almost-finished beautiful home!”

“Arcon Architects & Builders designed and built our wonderful house on Lake Keowee in Seneca South Carolina. Their professional expertise coupled with years of practical experience ensured the house not only met our family's needs but was built on time and within budget. By carefully assessing the building site Arcon ensured the house afforded great lake views from every room while minimizing the need to remove mature hardwood trees that I so love. They coupled the site plan with wonderful architectural features like 3 foot overhangs to minimize afternoon sun and allow the windows to stay open even during the rain ! In addition the cantilevered deck affords a sense of "floating over the lake" while maximizing the views from the lower level rooms. Oh .. and did I mention the screen porch and stone fireplace, the barrel vaulted front entry, the beams and massive stone fireplace in the great room .. and and and ! They just did a great job for us !”
