“In August 2014, we decided to do a full remodel of our 70s kitchen. We hired Tranquility Builders of Oswego, IL We presented them with our design requirements and they improved upon them. Bev Totsch and her subcontractors were always on time and were respectful of our home. Everything was replaced and remodeled -- walls, ceilings, flooring, cabinetry, and appliances. We were told the project would take about five weeks and it did. The end results were stunning! Everyone who's seen our new kitchen has been very impressed. We highly recommend Tranquility Builders.”

“We had a new entry door installed. They provided great service, were on time and completed the installation in a very timely manner. They were very respectful of our needs and treated us like it was as important to them as it was to us. They cleaned up after themselves and even wore booties to protect my floor. I would highly recommend them. Good value and great quality.”

“Fantastic Results! I hired James and his crew in 2020 to assist me with a "flip" on the North Shore. It was a very old house riddled with issues. I've been a designer and contractor for over 20 years and can say that the NRC crew was top notch. They helped push the complicated renovations along and followed my design requirements perfectly. They fully renovated the entire interior and built a front porch addition on the exterior. Their crews were attentive and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them!”

“We own a home that is both a Lake Forest Landmark (2004) and is on the National Historic Register (2006). Most recently, we received the 2015 Lake Forest Preservation Foundation Award for the two-story addition that C & P constructed. The committee was most impressed by the firm's adherence to the vision of the original architect--sharing photos of the beams that were gouged by their craftsmen to mimic that on the Southern visage of our home, noting the tile roof matched exactly as did the windows, the shutters, the wrought iron grillwork, and the brick. The interior is visually stunning, as well as accurate. As Michael Breseman, our architect, noted, C & P was "willing to not cut corners" when constructing to meet his high standards and our specifications. The kitchen, breakfast room, butler pantry, laundry room, wine cellar, children's play room, and "man cave" took our 1928 home into the 21st Century with grace and with integrity. I recommend the firm without reservation.”
