“The kitchen/dining area in our Shandaken (Catskills), NY house--built in 1967 as an uninsulated hunters' lodge--was on its way out. The oven no longer worked, the third of the three refrigerators we went through was utterly inefficient, the cabinet drawers often stuck as if they were cemented in place! Long story short: Dan Dwyer and his excellent and friendly crew gutted the area, added insulation, installed recessed lighting, rewired extensively, and revamped the plumbing (so that we no longer need to crawl under the house to drain the pipes in winter). They installed the new cabinets perfectly. They removed a wall to extend the small kitchen. All that and more was AFTER Dan himself suggested a new design, including removing the wall, which worked beautifully. When we saw what his crew accomplished with the kitchen (where they discovered and eliminated mold, an unexpected health benefit), and noted the exquisite tiling of the new floor and back splash, we asked them to sand and poly the floor and staircase in the adjacent living room, install insulation there as well, and replace the molding (his suggestion, not ours). We could go on forever: Hire Dan and his people; you will be delighted.”

“Tony was hired to be my General Contractor for the construction of my new home in Fairfield CT. I worked closely with Tony for over a year on this project. Tony was excellent. Tony not only ran and efficient and on time construction project but was also instrumental in giving my wife and I advice on what options we should consider as we looked at the various design elements. Tony brought his creative flair, practical design concepts and also meaningful ideas to help save both time and money. Since the project has completed Tony and I have become friends and we still talk weekly about odd jobs on the house or other enhancements that we are considering. In other words Tony not only goes above and beyond during the project but he will be around and available even after the project is all wrapped up. I highly recommend Tony as your GC, he won't let you down.”

“Larry Cavagnaro is a gem. His crew is outstanding, bright, creative and knowledgeable. They come on time, work hard and clean up at the end of the day. I have heard such horror storeis about other people's renovation jobs. Mine has been better than I could have imagined. I had the floor in the great room replaced with bamboo throughout rather than the rug and tile that was there. The propane fireplace was installed, along with the skylight; the entire room painted to lighten up the existing tongue and groove ceiling and walls. The existing fan was replaced with a new modern one. I am delighted with the results and highly recommend Larry's services.”
