“I met Chris when I was hired to build a custom shower he and his wife had designed. Walking into the near complete renovation project is was obvious Chris had great attention to detail. The tile I installed highlighted other colors in the master suite.... All the trims were fluent throughout the house, color schemes all seemed to work well together. All the hardware used in the kitchen, bathrooms, foyer to even the shower and lighting fixtures complimented each other nicely I thought. “This was our first time building a house and we were a bit apprehensive of how stressful and difficult the process would be. Nate and his team were fantastic! We were included as much as we wanted to be, adjustments and design changes were welcome, the entire project was well organized, and any issues or concerns that we had were addressed quickly. Everyone that we worked with was friendly and I've found Nate to be extremely fair in each of the situations that we worked together. We worked primiarily with Jamie and he was excellent at communicating what was going, worked quickly to resolve any problems, and was always friendly, professional and approachable. Even after closing, communication has been easy and open. We love our new home and we're very comfortable with it. If we were ever to build another house, I'd build with Nate and Jamie without a single concern. It was a great experience!”

“Red House was our GC for an eight month gut renovation of an 1840's farmhouse. They were fantastic to work with from the first call to their office thru the finishing touches just after we moved in. They provided ideas and consulted throughout the design process, sharing options for needed products, vendor and retail suggestions. As some items inevitably changed during construction they were understanding and willing to adjust. They ran a very neat construction site and kept the project on time. Chris Quinn oversaw the project from a business/planning perspective, David Matesi was point person on site (and a talented blacksmith!) and worked with Dave, Nate & Arna - a great team all around.”

“We have a camp on a lake in NY. The property has two homes which were both in need of major repair. Our first cabin we used a local craftsman, he was good, but was not done in a timely manner and had to come back for a lot of finishes. When we decided to redo our "main" house we chose McKernon and it was the best decision we made. The builders started on time and the project was completed on date agreed upon in the contract. The site was always clean and orderly. The craftsmanship in the cabinetry was top notch. I really can't say enough for the company and employees. If I was going to build again, I would hesitate to call upon them.”
