“Darcy built our dream home in 2000. It is a magnificent piece of work, with many ingenuous ideas and custom additions that add to it's total uniqueness and beauty. The home is close to 4,000 sq ft. It is 2 stories, and has 4 bedrooms with custom closets, 4 and 1/2 baths, an upper level toy room, and a gift wrapping/storage room. The main level has a gorgeous custom kitchen with fireplace, a huge mudroom with utility sink and plenty of storage, a 2 story great room with fireplace and balcony, a beautiful office with French doors, and lovely dining room. The master bedroom is on the main level. The master bedroom and the kitchen have twin bump out bays with French doors that lead onto the patio. The full finished basement is complete with a full bath and has a huge fireplace, and a custom built "dog room", with a raised tub for easy canine bathing, and a walk out door to easily accommodate the comings and goings of pets. There are so many storage closets that even I, a huge pack rat, had empty shelves! The house also is heated and cooled with geo-thermal, with Darcy co-ordinating the installation of the system with the HVAC company. Darcy doesn't build many homes from scratch due to his refusal to lower his standards, and thus his price, as a home is being built. However, this did not deter us, and we were soo fortunate that he decided to take our project on. Yes, it was not a cheap build, however, it still stands today (unfortunately for me, with a new owner) as the standout home in Douglas County, Illinois. The basement was dug on March 2, 2000, and we were moving in on Oct 2nd of 2000. Not only did Darcy and his crew and sub-contractors do superior work, they were very timely with the build. Now that I have written about the home that Darcy built for us, I miss it even more than ever. It was a once in a time experience, and the 5 years we lived in the home were the happiest years of my life! So, thank you, Darcy for the experience and the happy memories.”

“This was a substantial, whole-house remodel (keeping the same footprint) to make a very quirky, dark home on a gorgeous wooded hill into a light and airy rustic-modern home to live in the rest of my life. We went down the design and contractor path with a number of people (for a number of years) before finally coming back to Mark Hoerr and his architect/designer Seth Luginbuhl. I cannot say enough good things about the process with Mark and Seth that got us a final design. Now we are in the thick of the remodel, and cannot say enough good things about the carpenters and other tradespeople. They are extremely talented, diligent and hardworking, responsive and respectful, and all-around a pleasure to work with. I can't wait to upload finished photos around Christmas time, but will upload a few of the house in progress.”

“KSCI has remodeled our master bathroom, built a new deck, poured concrete for us as well as replaced doors and windows in our house. They've done tens of thousands of dollars worth of work for us and we'd hire them again to do the same in a heartbeat. “Chad remodeled our whole home. He took a jacuzzi room, paneled in cedar, and extended it past our deck, and adding a new deck beyond. He also dug under our old jacuzzi, making a full storage room and a downstairs library. The new family room has six skylights and twelve tall windows, so it's light and airy. Paneled in beautiful cedar, it's our favorite room. The downstairs has become a complete bedroom suite with a kitchen, library. and storage room. It's sufficient to say sixteen years later, we're still singing Chad's praises in both design and execution. He has our highest recommendation.”

“I hired SkeBo Rae Homes to come in and correct the shoddy work that was done by another company in my bathroom remodel. Not only did they fix everything, I also hired them to remodel a second bathroom. They started my job immediately and worked every day until the projects were finished.
