“After 50 years and many house remodeling experiences, Brandon Scherling is without doubt the best I have ever had. He listens to what you want, makes as many (or as few) suggestions as you want, pays attention to costs and is personally engaging. Best of all, he comes every day, on time, and if he can't make it, he calls to let you know why. He generally prefers to work 6 hours per day: 9 to 3 or 4, but in that time he gets as much done as most contractors in 8 or more. His subcontractors all have worked with him for some time and all work together well. Most important, they do a great job, paying attention to the small details and the large ones. I recommend him without question. Our project was a total kitchen remodel, including floor, walls, electrical, plumbing, drywall, paint, appliances, demolition of old kitchen. Price was reasonable: not the lowest, but also not the highest. He did not start the project until all supplies were available and on site, so once begun, he worked continuously until finishing 6 weeks later.”

“Prime 1 was the contractor for our 800 square foot addition. They worked closely with us and with our architect to design an addition that met our needs and fulfilled the vision we had in mind. One of our concerns was that the addition should match the period detail of the existing house, and they took every measure to ensure that such was the case. Our foreman was great. You would think he was building the project for himself, because he paid so much attention to every detail. He was always willing to work with us to make changes and listen to our concerns at every stage of the process. The crew was very conscientious and made every effort to minimize the disruption to our daily routine. Space was tight for delivery and staging of materials, but they managed to work within those limitations with little problem. Prime 1 was also willing to let us take on as much of the project as we wanted to do, and they worked with us at great length to keep within our budget. They inspired confidence in us, offering sound advice from experience, and making the venture an enjoyable experience.
