“From the moment we met Brian Meiste, we knew that his home building approach was different from his competition. The warm smile from Amber when we walked in made us feel welcome. Brian gave a good picture of how they work (it turned out that he was absolutely sincere) and was happy to meet with us any time and show us other homes that he built in the area. Our design consultants, Abbey and Heidi, were so well organized and helpful. They actually knew what we would like before we even saw it! The project management team of Kevin and Zach kept things nicely on track. Every promise was made good on and they worked within our budget. Now that we have moved in, we couldn’t be happier. They followed up on our punch list, which was short. Our dream house really is a dream - it was fun to work on and stress levels were very low. Thank you, Meiste Homes!”

“Cutting Edge designed and built our basement remodel. They started with unfinished space and re-engineered load bearing walls to open it up. We now how have a wet bar, built in TV wall and shelving, a full bath, a wine closet, and space for an air hockey table. In addition, they replaced countertops in our kitchen and replaced our master bath shower. The end result is absolutely beautiful. The workmanship is top notch. As is typical with this type of project, we had some scheduling delays and minor cost overruns, but we are very happy with the finished project.”

“My husband and I have lived in our home for almost 30 years and apart from a few updates in the past, we knew our home needed some freshening up. We called Karen Vander Werp of Transforming Interiors and with her amazing vision and incredible eye for detail, our dining/living room has been completely redone and we are so thrilled with the results! She was able to work with a few pieces of furniture that we wanted to keep and incorporated them into an updated an amazing look. From painting our tire woodwork, painting our oak table, modernizing our 3-way fireplace with faux painting and adding a new seating area with beautiful window treatments, the dining room was completely transformed. It was the same with the living room a year later. She was able to see options that we wouldn't have noticed or thought of. From artwork to furniture to accessories to window treatments, she was "spot on" every time. What we also appreciated was the way she listened to us and what our likes and dislikes were and would fins ways to ensure her vision, along with keeping our wants and needs. Plus she made it fun and interesting. We learned so much from her guidance. We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed working with her now and will look forward to when we will get a chance to do so again in the future.”

“When we decided to build our home, we were pretty naive to the process. We are blessed to have met Ryan and 42º North to help educate us on the process, and point out specific things we never thought of. Ryan has been the single most important asset in our home-build process – not only designing us a house we absolutely love, but also looking out for our best interests when dealing with other parties, such as builders, vendors, etc. The integrity that the guys at 42º North have is rare, and something that shouldn’t be taken lightly. They are swift to hold your hand through the process, and the design work is top-notch. Ryan’s communication is also amazing, making the process with him stress-free and easy going. 42º North is the only architecture firm we will ever recommend and use should we decide to build again. “I had about a third of my basement, about 550 sq. ft., completed using the Matrix Basement System. This r-18 rated, water proof, mold proof, mildew proof system (4' by 8' panels) was perfect for protecting my investment. They also did my drop ceiling, all electrical, hvac work and installed the three doors we added. The total process took about 4 weeks. The work crew was very professional. They worked with me in coordinating the parts of this project that I had other contractors complete and made the whole experience very enjoyable. My completed basement blends in with the rest of my house. The insulated panels keeps the humidity down and the temperatures at the same level as my upstairs level. I love it.”
