“We hired Let's Remodel to do the flooring on our home remodel. They were on time, professional, and cleaned up after themselves throughout the project. I would highly recommend their services. Their craftsmanship was exceptional. We had some difficult tiles and angles that were tough to cut. They did a fantastic job.”

“Viking removed my bathtub and replaced it with a walk-in shower. He did an excellent job even though there was a lot of dry rot that had to be removed. He worked very well with my HOA and I highly recommend him. I would use him again for any future projects.”

“Designer Jane Regan knows quality and possesses great style. Her bath and kitchen designs are always modern, yet classic. What she designs, will look as fresh twenty years from now as they do today. Bob Regan is a true craftsman, and his skills are well-rounded. He specializes in decks as well as interiors. The Regans are a great team with many builds to their credit.”

“It 's not very easy for my husband to spend money, but our deck was becoming a hazard. We had a hole our dog could fall through and a broken rotting hot tub that needed to be scrapped . A major issue was the deck being thirty feet in the air so it was clear we couldn't do this ourselves. Brian Kashas inspired confidence and a vision of a beautiful deck we could actually use. Everyday there was an amazing transformation, the work was being done at an incredible rate. Everything went according to a plan that was very clearly spelled out to us before any work occurred. If there were problems, we didn't know about it until there was a plan to fix it or it had already been fixed. The bid was what we actually paid for the project, there was nothing that wasn't unforeseen by the company. workers were respectful, clean, and prompt. They made the work place safe for both my children and my dogs. Today we have an amazing deck that is a place where we can hold dinner parties, hang out and read, and this summer will have installed a new hot tub in a better covered location. Our next project is the kitchen, and we will be confidently trusting MillerKashas to do the job.”

“Vince and the Rehm Design & Renovations team did an amazing job on our shower remodel and kitchen backsplash. They came highly recommended from a friend and exceeded all expectations. Vince communicated very well throughout our project, including work scheduling and budget/materials ordering. He was always professional and courteous to my family and went out of his way to make sure we were not inconvenienced. Above all else, the design direction, craftsmanship, and attention to detail are why I would recommend the Rehm Design & Renovations team to anyone for for bathroom/kitchen work.”

“My project was a root-and-branch kitchen design/rebuild. The original house dates from 1897 but it's been jerked around and added onto quite a bit so that the kitchen is now the very visible center of the house. I wanted to roll the kitchen and old dining room plus a disused bathroom into a single large live-in kitchen with a laundry area that could be closed from view. I also wanted a mudroom and a second sink to deal with heaps of muddy produce from my all-seasons vegetable garden. Paul Olson at Skandia had a nifty 3D program that allowed us to visualize and play with the layout. Two walls were removed; the mudroom was built out onto the existing back porch. Walls, ceiling, floors (including the ceiling below in the basement) were stripped to the studs. Skandia did all new flooring, sheetrock, paint, lighting, plumbing, windows, counters. I shopped for the appliances but Skandia installed them, including a massive range hood that was difficult to duct because of my low ceilings. I do a lot of cooking. I grow all my own vegetables, and make all my own everything. I've lived over twenty years in this house. So, I had a lot of views on how I wanted my kitchen to be. Like, a kitchen door should have all the fiddly little individual glass panes that take two days to paint around, not just one big pane with lined divisions. I need the counter lowered where I roll pastry. I wanted new cabinets, and a lot more of them, but reusing as much as possible of the original vertical grain fir... All this to say, I may not have been the most easy-going client to work with. Too, the hundred-plus-year-old house has no straight lines or level surfaces. There were random hot wires in the ceiling and mummified rats under the floor. Of the three design/build contractors and one architect I interviewed, Paul Olson at Skandia was the only one who seemed really interested—I don't mean in landing the job but in the house itself. He got the vibe. Paul has an artist's eye and experience with period styles. He walked me through all the kerjillion design choices and kept me real with the budget. When I needed to pare down he helped me pare, and where I wanted to splurge he enabled (that fabulous green stone countertop!) His cabinetmaker, Alexei, even built me a red lacquer "Chinese" cabinet for my collection of CDs. Skandia was not the lowest bidder. But Paul stuck religiously to his estimates. There was not one single surprise. Every single workman who came to the house seemed to have known Paul since their dads went to high school together. The men were uniformly competent, punctual, and a joy to have around. Especially, Paul's right-hand man Bil Frost must be the handyman in the mind of God. Bil never left the house without cleaning everything. There was no detail too minute, too fiddling, to often, too back-breaking. Haul the old fridge to the basement? Sure! Need to cut out the basement door frame to make it fit? Hey, no problem. I blush to think how often I heard Bil say, "She wants..." But I got it, whatever I wanted. The job took three and a half months and cost a staggering amount of money. I love my new kitchen with a sick passion. I would hire Paul (and Bil! I would adopt Bil) again in a shot. And actually the whole look and flow of the house are so improved, if I sold the property today I believe I'd make my money back.”

“We have just completed a kitchen/bath remodel to our 1950 ranch. REF Construction was chosen from 5 of the top rated contractors we researched in the Portland area. From the initial meeting, the estimate and throughout the construction, Ryan Founds was exceptional to work with. Very responsive and professional. The time estimate to completion was right on. The final cost was very close to the original estimate. The quality of the workmanship is better than expected. The designer REF teamed with for the cabinetry was Lake Oswego Kitchen and Bath. We couldn't be happier with our cabinets and the layout of our new kitchen. This, for us was a major undertaking. An under utilized room was incorporated by removing a wall and expanding the kitchen, to allow for more flow and room for entertaining. An island is the focal point of our new kitchen and french doors were added for access to the deck and patio for outdoor entertaining. This has been a very pleasant experience. REF will be highly recommended to my friends who plan to do any kitchen or bath work in the future.”

“DSC has completed a kitchen remodel, bar installation and office remodel for us. Dale has an unusually sophisticated eye for design and detail that combines well with his skill and expertise in execution and installation. He and his crew are very respectful of keeping a clean work environment, working around family timelines and personal needs. The employees hired by DSC have always seemed respectful and trust worthy to me and I have been very comfortable having them in my home. We have rarely had any issues with items that need repair after a project is complete but when we have, Dale and his team have always responded promptly and taken care of any problem in a timely and cost effective manner. They take full responsibility for their work and stand behind it fully. I feel that DSC views all projects in my home the way they would see them in their own homes. There is great ownership and pride in work.”
