Major features of the plan included: --installing a brick paver driveway bordered by a snapcut limestone retaining wall --installing bluestone front entry walk and porch --rebuilding backyard bluestone patio and new courtyard area with water fountain and cast iron fence border --extensive landscape lighting both front and back --installing imported planter urns on pedestals --extensive tree & shrub planting, perennials & ground cover. “My wife and I had built a house and asked Brian from Forest Landscaping for an estimate to sod our front and down the sides to the rear of the house, brick boarder around the house with 18in of stone between the house and boarder, seed and blanket the backyard, plant a bradford pear tree that he grew on his property, and plant 6 other bushes and plants. He listened to what we wanted made suggestions and made a rendition of what the project would look like finished with the house. The price for what we asked was very reasonable and we accepted. We scheduled a day to have the work completed. I left for work at 6 a.m. and arrived home at 4 p.m. the work was 100% completed and cleaned up. Very professional and very personable group of employees! We will use Forest Landscaping in the future to build us a retaining wall in our backyard. We look forward to working with them again!”

“I highly recommend Pat Bernard Design, Inc. In the summer of 2009, I hired Pat Bernard Design to transform an underused front patio into a relaxing garden and entertaining space. The results where outstanding. For reference, the front patio is below ground level as part of my garden unit condo. Originally the patio was just a brick floor with some common shrubs around the edges - very drab and uninspiring. Pat Bernard’s re-design incorporated a stone seating wall that enclosed and bordered raised flower, plant and tree beds, thus providing the perfect combination of entertainment seating and low maintenance shade plants/flowers and trees without using too much square footage. The Japanese maple trees that Pat chose and planted are the patio garden's pride and joy! Pat also installed low-voltage lighting which really highlights the trees, plants and flowers during the evening while also providing a sense of calm and relaxation. In terms of execution, Pat and her team were prompt, timely, thorough, communicative, professional and courteous throughout the entire process. Since originally hiring Pat Bernard in 2009, I have had Pat return each spring/fall for regular maintenance of the patio garden’s soil, plants, trees and flowers and the patio garden always benefits from her expertise! I stopped counting the number of compliments that the patio garden has received since 2009 because the number is so high. I have recommended Pat Bernard to friends who saw the work she did in transforming my patio garden and subsequently hired Pat to transform their garden/lawn spaces, each time with satisfactory results. I always like to say that Pat Bernard’s design and installation transformed a below ground level patio garden from an underwhelming pit into a relaxing garden paradise!”

“Anne & her team designed and installed front-yard landscaping for us, including adding a stone walkway. The shrubs & trees in our yard were overgrown and the house looked dated. The other landscapers we considered offered plans that followed the shape & design ideas of the existing landscaping. They essentially proposed pulling the old shrubs and replacing them with new ones of the same or a similar type. And the plants suggested we ones that are widely available at Lowes or Home Depot. In contrast, Anne pointed out specific reasons that the landscaping looked dated and uninviting, and proposed ways to fix it. She used primarily native plants, but many I'd never seen, so the plantings stand out among our neighbors. The plants are colorful year-round and low-maintence. She was able to locate a specific type of tree we'd requested (one we'd had & loved at our last house); the other two landscapers told us that they could not find any specimens. On top of all that, Anne's pricing was ultimately comparable to the other proposals we received. We receive compliments all the time & cannot recommend Anne highly enough.”
