“Margaret from Wongajong @ Baw Baw is a creative and passionate designer with exceptional attention to detail. Margaret was provided with a list of would-likes from essentially four very different clients and was patient and professional enough to work collaboratively through our haphazard creative processes. We asked Margaret to design spaces that would grow with our children, adapting to the different phases in their lives, which she achieved in really exciting ways. The concept design Margaret produced was beautiful, innovative and considered, hitting all the marks. Margaret designed a secret garden and cubby under our proposed alfresco area that would transition into storage as the kids grew out of that form of play. She designed an amazing courtyard with connecting boardwalks that lead down to an outdoor rumpus room, designed to provide a beautiful peaceful eastern aspect, as well as connect our alfresco area, rumpus room and courtyard for future entertaining. Every aspect of the garden has lovely features to draw your eyes, be it plants or practical sculptural pieces. Margaret even included a beautiful sculptural acknowledgement to our backgrounds as a personal touch to our front entrance way. Margaret selected plants based on their habit, orientation, and seasonal practicality not just their beauty. She managed to capitalise on the idiosyncrasies of our block to create beautiful practical outdoor spaces, as well as creatively use them to hide less attractive features such as the clothesline, rubbish bins, and vegetable gardens. Margaret not only provided concept designs, she also provided guidance regarding the planting and construction of the garden in line with proposed building works.
