“CK Landscape has done a great job installing several of my design projects. The owner, Alex Cartwright, is extremely knowledgeable about hardscape, irrigation, plants and landscape lighting. My preference is to work with contractors who can bring their own expertise and experience to make the project truly collaborative, and Alex excels at this. On a recent project, he found a beautiful flagstone that helped pull the design together, and had great ideas for enhancing several of the project’s structures. It’s wonderful to work with a contractor who is committed to making sure that the project is a success and the clients get the best possible outcome.”

“My garden had good bones but the plants were all wrong. I wanted a garden that looked natural but well-kept, a tough aesthetic to pull off. I wanted lots of birds and butterflies. Mariposa Gardening has taken care of my garden for a few years now. The principal, Andrea Hurd, started by editing the original sorry collection of misplaced plants, replacing the losers with absolute winners. I now have a beautiful variety of textures, colors, shapes and sizes. Something is in bloom in all seasons. We are overrun with birds and, in season, with butterflies. Her maintenance crews have done a great job of keeping her work looking good. The trees are elegantly pruned; each one displays that gold standard "looks like it grew that way" look. Any special request that I make is quickly taken care of. Sometimes I get treats, in the form of new flowers or vegetable starts (I love foraging in my own back yard). In short I am completely happy with Mariposa Gardening and Design.”

“Donisi Landscape Construction Company re-landscaped our front yard with 40+ plants and trees, replaced a sprinkler system with a drip irrigation system and installed paver pathways. We were very, very pleased with the work, the workers and the finished product. Mr. Donisi coordinated well with our designer so that the layout and installation went smoothly. The work crew was skilled and efficient so there were no problems, no damage and no re-work. We were particularly pleased with the installation of the pathways - pavers tightly secured, surface totally even. Three months after planting all the plants are thriving which speaks well of the soil conditioning and drip system design and installation. The project went smoothly with no delays. Technically the project was on budget per the contract. (But let me share a lesson I learned: If your project involves removal of dirt, understand the potential cost and who will bear it before signing a contract.) Overall Donisi Landscape Construction Company did do a great job and I recommend them without hesitation.”

“Terra Ferma has been working on my landscape project for the past year. I have only great things to say. The quality of their work has been superb. they attended to every detail, and they made extra effort to maintain a clean site and to minimize disturbance to us even during the rainy season. During the construction, they tried their best to satisfy the neighbors, which was a great help to me. They also have great working relations with other comanies/firms. “We wanted to replace an all grass landscape with a beautiful, interesting one and that is exactly what Kellie did. She created a wonderful design that incorporated plant factors of water use, color, sequence of blooming, variation of structure, and low allergy. She and her team installed in April and the plants already look beautiful. We really love what she did and enjoy it every day as a work of art in nature. She cares deeply about the work and brings both great talent and energy to the project. She did an excellent job understanding what we wanted and communicating in general. She manages a fine team, and they all work effectively to carry out the design. Her follow-up has been very good as well, even though she was been busy with other projects. Overall, she has been great to work with, and is a terrific and talented landscaper.”
