“Upon purchase of a somewhat older home, with "sunken" living and family rooms, we decided to raise them up (11 inches) to match the rest of the flooring height and eliminate a potential 'hazard" within our home. As an existing bar area straddled the two rooms and the floor was going to be raised - the existing bar needed to be replaced. We wanted a "unique" bar (something "different" and as it was a focal point of the house, something "striking" for our visitors to see upon entering).. We researched lighting systems (back and side) as well as top materials (for the final surface). The lighting company we contacted and ultimately selected (LED multi-color light "sheet") suggested we look at Artistry in Glass, for a unique selection of top materials and designs that would work with our space and LED lighting technology selected. Working with Artistry in Glass, and particularly Marisa was enlightening and educational - as she "really knows" what materials work with which substrates. We ultimately selected a frosted glass bar top with a "non-frosted" wave pattern etched into the glass - so that there would be 2 different light effects from the LED's.) The company was terrific - once the finalized "complex" shape (see attached photos - one of which shows the Artistry in Glass installation "crew" posing with the newly installed bar top) was turned into a template - and approved by us - it took less than the promised time to complete the top and install (and complete) the bar. The top arrived in 3 large sections with the seams perfectly matched (even the etching pattern) and the cut (shape) perfectly shaped. The effect is EXACTLY what we planned - EVERYONE who has seen our new bar top (glass and lighting) has commented that it is the most spectacular bar they have ever seen!!! (probably not EXACTLY true - LOL - but VERY pleasing to hear, none-the-less!!!) I can't recommend Artistry in Glass enough - as working with them (and our other contractors) was EASY - and SATIFYING!!! And the result WELL worth the effort and cost (which for what we had done was quite reasonable) Just "for the record" the project cost shown is for the ENTIRE bar structure and installation - not just the glass top.”
