“Working with Jimmy Crisp and his associates was a great and valuable learning experience that could not have turned out better than it did. Jimmy truly met, and in many instances, went beyond our expectations. The project, which was a complete gut renovation, went very smoothly and it did come in on budget with the exception of new items that were included after our original quote. Of course there were differences of opinions and long discussions about changes/desired outcomes and new costs, however, I would say that because of Jimmy's constant presence at the site, complete knowledge of exactly what was suppose to happen at all stages of the project and calm manner we escaped situations that could, at the time, have been less satisfactory. Jimmy, the associates and clerical employees of his firm are all a 10 in my book! “We are thrilled with Bill Brinnier and our beautiful screened porch. We have a tiny family cottage and are adding a porch that almost doubles the footprint as it wraps around two sides. We call it the LiPo (Little House/Big Porch). The problem was light. The small windows around the south and west sides of the house would be covered by a porch roof and dark. Bill solved this with a beautiful roof line that includes two high gables that let the sun pour in morning and afternoon. It also made an interesting and complex series of angles inside as the gables connect and turn the corner. Another thoughtful aspect of the design that was revealed as construction began is that the little bit of porch you see from the front is integrated into the modest look of the house from the street. It is all modesty from the front and wow factor from the back. What we really appreciate, and the sign of a truly gifted architect, is that the beauty on the outside is not given precedence over beauty and utility on the inside. In supervising construct Bill has been extremely reassuring, responsive and pragmatic when issues arise (and they always do). We couldn't be happier.”
