Design-Build Contractors & Firms Near Lacey

“Michael Herkert and his UMI team has done three projects at my home a deck, a kitchen remodel and fixing the outcome from a furnace malfunction. I highly recommend UMI. They did an excellent job. Every aspect of each job was done with quality and the utmost care. The workers showed up on time and were always respectful. If any concerns arose either during or after construction they were resolved quickly and to my complete satisfaction. Communication was excellent both with workers and UMI’s office staff. Calls and e-mails were answered promptly. I have used many contractors, being a home owner for 50 years and Michael Herkert and UMI are simply the best.”

“We are very pleased with the overall outcome of our bathroom remodeling project. The BetterBuilders team delivered on all aspects of the project, including both the design phase and execution of the work plan. Pete provided clear guidance up front with respect to the cost, process, and work phases, ensuring that we understood all aspects of the project. Importantly, the work plan included an upfront damage/dust mitigation effort which provided protection to the infrastructure of the house and minimized dust dispersal. While this aspect of the project does not show up in the final product, it was greatly appreciated. The work flow was conducted in a timely manner facilitated by frequent updates provided by Chris Cody and an open line of communication. The subcontractors employed effectively completed their assigned tasks within designated time frames. Importantly, the BetterBuilders team (particularly David and Cooper) provided valuable support throughout the entire project, often bridging efforts of the individual subcontractors. On multiple occasions, we pointed out minor issues to David and he graciously (and with a smile) corrected these to our satisfaction in real time. The design phase of the project, spearheaded by Mayra, provided an opportunity for us to view and select options which we would not have considered on our own and incorporated desired safety enhancements. As a result, the cabinetry, tile, and fixtures selected are contemporary yet blend seamlessly into the legacy style of the house. The quality of the items employed helped to create an outstanding visual appearance, highlighted by the craftsmanship of Norberto Garcia’s guest bathroom tile and curbless shower installation. From beginning to end of the project, the BB team was polite, courteous and a pleasure to work with.”

“Nip Tuck first remodeled our kitchen, and we were so impressed that we asked them to return for several additional projects. I have never worked with a contractor of this caliber. From the owner to the designer, the crew leads, and every member of the team, each person who entered our home approached their work with exceptional skill, care, and professionalism. Measurements were double-checked, and extra attention was given to details—such as adjusting for crooked walls and ceilings—so that everything fit perfectly. They even repaired squeaky floors before laying the new flooring. The results are absolutely stunning. I want to give special recognition to Allison, our designer. Having little knowledge of kitchen design, I relied on her expertise throughout the process. She patiently answered my many questions, offered honest and thoughtful advice, and presented a wide range of options. I began with only a vague vision, but with her guidance, we created something far beyond what I imagined. What impressed me most is their commitment to standing behind their work. A year after the remodel, the team returned and noticed a small crack in the ceiling that I hadn’t even seen. Without hesitation, they scheduled a time to repair it. That level of follow-through is rare and speaks volumes about their integrity and dedication to quality. If anyone is considering a remodel or home project, I wholeheartedly recommend Nip Tuck. They are unmatched in craftsmanship, professionalism, and care.”
