“My husband and I purchased a house and wanted to do an extensive remodel. I came in contact with Levi Steele of Steele Construction, Inc. by chance while gathering bids for my project and I knew almost immediately that he would be the perfect fit for my house. Levi was polite and listened carefully to the vision I had for my remodel. He was knowledgeable about all of the things I wanted to do and knew what the latest trends and styles were for each aspect of the construction. He was excellent at communicating with me on a day to day basis the goings on of the construction and I was always able to reach him when I had questions or requests. His employees were respectful and trustworthy and I felt comfortable with them on the property. When it came to pricing, we feel that Steele Construction was competitive and fair. When I was originally gathering bids for my remodel, his bid was competitive with other builders. Our original plans for our home continued to expand as we saw the quality of the work Levi provided. Ultimately, we extended our move in date by several months to finish the project and Levi was flexible and helpful as we worked through this. Levi went the extra mile on our project on numerous occasions. For example: 1) The tops of several of our doorways that were right next to each other did not line up. When he placed the new trim around the doorways that I requested, he took the time to adjust the top of the doorways so they all lined up without me asking. 2) On the day that my new kitchen cabinets were delivered to my house, one of them would not fit through the door. The delivery person was going to cut off part of the cabinet to fit it through the door. Levi was sick that day, but when he heard what was going on, he came and took the front door off the hinges so that the cabinet could fit through the door without being altered, replaced the door, and then went back home to bed. 3) When he installed my kitchen cabinets, he took the time to take off each hinge, nail the cabinet in as required for install, then replace the hinge, hiding the nail hole so that the cabinets look nicer when opened. 4) I chose a terrible grout color for one section of tile flooring. When I discovered the result, I was disappointed and assumed I would have to live with the mistake. Levi was willing to remove the grout and do it again with a different color. 5) I ordered a countertop to be installed over my washer/dryer. When the bracket came that would support the countertop, it was very heavy. Levi was concerned it would not be properly supported by the drywall where it was to be placed. He took the time to open the wall and install a stud so that the bracket would have the support it needed over the years. 6) I changed my mind several times about the trim around my kitchen window. Levi patiently changed it out over and over until we got it right. This is just a small sample of the attention to detail and professionalism demonstrated on my project by Steele Construction, Inc. After seeing Levi's work over the course of several months, my husband and I decided to hire him to build our new fireplace. Levi had never built a fireplace before and was willing to bow out of the project if we would rather use someone who had more experience. We knew he could do an amazing job based on everything he had done for us and we were not disappointed. The fireplace turned out better than we could have hoped and it is our favorite part of our house. We are convinced that Levi can do anything and that he will do it well. We would recommend him without hesitation for any construction project.”
