We built a level of trust, I was comfortable with him in my home, and the fact he worked there so long further cemented my belief I am working with a great company. For my commercial needs, I appreciated the extra level of inspection and thought they put into my projects while helping guide me to better solutions; not necessarily more expensive or cheaper, but more in line with my goals. My favorite two favorite stories: 1) 3 companies said I needed a new heater and system between $4,500-$6,500. Tom's spent three times as long inspecting the system and determined I only needed 3 new double A batteries in my thermostat and a $150 part in my heater. 2) My AC went out in August at 5:30pm on a Saturday. After calling their after hours line I had a call from a tech in 15 minutes offering to be at my house in one hour...ON A SATURDAY NIGHT!! I am sure there are cheaper companies and I know there are more expensive ones. The service and trust level with Tom's makes them the most cost effective provider I know. I have referred Tom's countless times and I have NEVER had someone state anything gratitude for the introduction to this fine company. If nothing else, look at the length of this endorsement I am happy to do out of gratitude for the respect and service they have shown my family.”

“Advent Air Conditioning installed a new air conditioner in our home. The installers were very professional and wore booties to protect our floors. They had all the technology to install and test to be sure all worked great before the left. What was amazing is they told us we would save 30%-50% on our electricity bill and during hot, hot Texas summer our bill did drop 50%. Great way to save short term and long term. Their follow up scheduled maintenance care has been great and on time. Would recommend them to all.”

“Service technician was a little under-experienced at replacing heat exchangers on the Payne heating unit that the company originally installed for the previous owner, and even though it was still under the manufacturers warranty, we still paid close to $400 in labor costs-which included close to 45 minutes that the technician was on hold with Carrier to order the replacement part. Luckily their warehouse is fairly close and the part was in stock, but it was almost 3 full days without heat, at barely above freezing temps during the day. And the company was completely unaware of the class action settlement awarding the owners of defective heat exchangers the cost of replacement, including labor reimbursement, so I've been waiting 4 months for my claim to be processed to get money back, which they could have billed directly to the manufacturer. On the positive note: dispatcher was extremely helpful, informative, and offered the full purchase history of our house's HVAC system, including a previous warranty replacement of the entire external A/C unit less than a year after original installation. She went above and beyond when helping us with documentation on the invoice for the labor cost claim. The technician was incredibly polite, professionally mannered, extremely thorough when putting everything back together, making sure the furnace was "tuned up" properly since this was our first full year in the house. And when it came time to pay and we were informed they didn't take American Express, our only way to afford that amount at such short notice, he was surprisingly laid back and understanding and allowed us the time we needed (almost 24 hours) to find a family member to make the payment while we wait for the settlement claim to be paid. Oh, and they did get the tech out to us in less than 8 hours of my request for a service call, during a peak "pre-winter furnace failure season". I might ask more information in advance of a future repair, but i definitely won't hesitate to continue giving them our business.”
