“My husband and I built our retirement home high in the mountains north of Asheville. We were referred to Mason by a builder, and although we ultimately went with another builder, we stayed with him for our kitchen/baths. This was our dream home...log and timber, and I am an avid cook, but had NO idea how to begin designing a kitchen. I spent many mornings with Mason...he asked specific questions about how I cooked and organized, and my likes/dislikes. It came out better than I ever expected. We wanted a home that was sophisticated, yet rustic. He suggested knotty cherry that was perfect...also a black heirloom that looks really rustic (on my island and as a piece of furniture incorporated within the caramel colored cabinetry). Also, I knew I wanted something different above a 48 inch rangetop.... and we finally settled on a stone surround that mirrored our large stone fireplace in the great room across from it, , that included spice racks built into the stone on each side. I haven't mentioned yet that the prices were comparable to semi-custom- he was less than our Lowes estimate (for comparable materials). I went with his suggestions in the baths....particularly the Master, and all are beautiful. We get as many compliments on the kitchen as on the beautiful log trusses/ ceilings/ and woodwork in this home! Thank you Mason! Elaine & Dan Crabb”

“Will and his crew have been nothing short of amazing. To call them General Contractors isn't exactly accurate, as his crew does all of the work themselves - siding, sheetrock, stair railings, lighting, door installation, plumbing, electrical, decking and much more. Will's initial quote was incredibly detailed, and in the end very accurate. We discovered during the complete makeover of the house we bought, that a french drain was needed, and fast. He put one of his guys on it, brought in a load of gravel, and it was a perfect fix. I think after having a few experiences with remodeling and contractors, what stands out about them is the accuracy on the money end, the contribution of ideas and fixes to items that inevitably come up along the way, they show up every time they say they will and in large numbers when there is a push to finish something, and the quality of their work exceeds expectations. I would and will recommend them to anyone needing a contractor for jobs big and small.”

Neither of us are very skilled in the area of design so we were very happy to have the assistance. Shawn was able to take our very rough description of what we wanted and turn it into a design that exceeded our expectations. She brough wonderfull ideas to the table that we never even considered. “From design to installation, the Kitchen Gallery did it all! Alice is very detail oriented and knowledgeable. As a designer, she took our input, proposed new and innovative features, and verified fit and form. While we selected and installed our own appliances, the Kitchen Gallery can do that too. Alice verified appliance installation dimensions and made adjustments where necessary. Joe arranged for and participated in demolition and removal of existing walls, appliances, and cabinets. He also, almost single-handedly installed the cabinets and selected counter tops. I couldn't be happier with the Kitchen Gallery and wouldn't hesitate to call them with my next project!”

“I hired Blue Ridge Renovations WNC LLC and was in frequent contact with Justin Smudde prior, to add a gutter and irrigation system to address ongoing water and moisture problems in my basement. This was an ongoing problem since I bought the house in 2009. Justin met with me and was very clear on the work that would be done and the most effective way to address the issue. The work done by Justin and Blue Ridge Renovations was well appreciated and took the majority of the moisture problem. I am now on my way to having a complete dry basement and have to thank Blue Ridge Renovations for making this happen. I have recently been in touch with Justin around discussion to have a French drain completed in the back of house. “I recommend this firm without reservations. Todd Allen, the owner, has three decades of experience in the building trades, and is honest, reasonably priced, and reliable. He does what he promises and takes obvious pride in his work. He has done several projects for us and is currently renovating a bathroom. In a few months he will start on our master bathroom, and then our kitchen will get done next year. Todd has fixed several issues for us that other professionals have not known how to fix. We will never use anyone else to do work on our house.”

“We remodeled an old bathroom after my husband had major surgeries and needed better access. We had seen an ad for Battles & Battles and we met with Linette who was extremely knowledgeable and experienced and helped us create our dream bath. During the planning process we met with August Battles, who ended up being our lead installer. He was meticulous and artistic which resulted in a perfect bath; from the heated floor to the creative tile work. The other staff that visited our house were so professional and caring which gave us a great level of comfort having them in our home. I would highly recommend them!!!”
