Malone's Landscape Design | Build
Landscape Architects & Designers in Easton
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsJanuary 9, 2015
“The service provided by Malone's Landscaping was just what we were looking for. Jim came out the day after I called to take measurements and sketch some ideas. His office created plans off of the ideas I had presented and was back to me within the week with drawings. They started the project under John's watchful eye, with Jim always checking to give final approval. The project took a little longer then anticipated due to weather through the winter but, was completed in time for a great party for everyone to enjoy. I get so many complements on our space now that everyone wants to take a picture of it. We have enjoyed many football games and family events with our new fireplace and seating area! Thank you Malone's!”

“We're so happy we used Karen for our backyard redesign. The end result is that our small grassy area has been transformed into a wonderful sitting/dining/flower bed that seems so much larger and user friendly than it was before. Karen also recommended a very talented team of professionals who worked together to accomplish everything we'd hoped for. They were Berg's Landscaping, and Woodmark Construction.”

“We couldn't be happier with the work Lauch did on our backyard project. He met with us repeatedly as we worked through various details, and was very patient with our changes and uncertainty. He listened to our ideas, then brought his ideas/professional opinions to the table. Lauch worked very quickly through the project and facilitated all meetings with the appropriate contractors needed. He has since followed up and given us further guidance on maintenance. I highly recommend this company! You will not be dissappointed.”

“I hired Susan to design a vegetation plan for a salt water waterfront slope in front of my new home. She was very sensitive to my requirement of maintaining a view over the water while at the same time meeting county requirements for slope stability and erosion control. She selected native plants that were appropriate for the ecosystem of the sloped area. During the process, she was my liaison to the county planning department and her plan was accepted with no modifications. We recently reviewed the progress of the plants and found them growing and thriving. I greatly appreciate Susan's professionalism and respect her expertise.”

“We simply could not be happier with the landscape design, project management and individual focus given to our project. Every aspect of the project from the initial designs to onsite project management/bid coordination/negotiation was first class. They worked within our budget and evolved plans as we constantly requested changes. They responded to all inquiries or change requests almost immediately (often on weekends or late at night). When they find lower bids from a contractor or items came in under budget, they passed along all the savings to us. We are confident we could not have found a better design, better price or better service anywhere else and it is only by luck that we stumbled across them. Our project was challenging given that we had a very narrow and small backyard. There was a large home already on the property and we were up against impervious surface constraints. We wanted to preserve as much grass/yard as possible as part of the redesign, while installing a large gazebo and in-ground hot tub within the city setback requirements (it is a corner lot, so we had side yard setbacks, rear yard setbacks, impervious surface constraints, detached structure zoning restrictions, etc.). They made it work and crafted a design which matched our home perfectly with less than 100sqft to spare against the impervious surface requirements. KLLA coordinated with almost a dozen different contractors/businesses on the project (electrician, plumber, pool company, general contractor for our home, masons, custom concrete fabricator, home automation company, city permitting office, nurseries, rock yards, etc.). On one occasion, the city wanted an entire survey of our lot done to ensure it fit within impervious surface constraints. KLLA negotiated with the City in person to not require it after initially asking for it (saving us $5k) and they spent their own time to calculate measurements and mark-up the original survey for the house to act as a proxy that the city ultimately accepted. We will definitely use KLLA on our next project. They were among the finest and most reasonably priced contractors that we have worked with. For a project of this size, I am bit surprised that we have zero regrets. They are first rate in our book and managed the entire project with the level of detail and attention as if it was their own home and their own money.”

“Legacy did such an amazing job on our project. We had our front yard completely redesigned. Mature trees needed to come out and multiple yards of dirt needed to be replaced. All new plants, irrigation and lighting systems were installed. Since our project was completed, multiple neighbors have hired them simply based on the quality and beauty of the work accomplished on our front yard project. After the work on the front yard, we hired them to work on the back yard; prepare property for a sport court and landscape around the court. They leveled the court area using heavy equipment, built a large retaining wall using stone and planted over 50 arborvitae as a fence/hedge, and installed new irrigation system.”
