On a recent project, he found a beautiful flagstone that helped pull the design together, and had great ideas for enhancing several of the project’s structures. It’s wonderful to work with a contractor who is committed to making sure that the project is a success and the clients get the best possible outcome.”

They were clear about what they were going to do, when they were going to do it, and then in the end, it all happened as they said it would. The entire team was fantastic to work with. They came with great ideas and delivered for us every step of the way. If you are looking to remodel your backyard, look no further - this is your team. Choose anyone else at your own risk. Ron and the team are by far the best contractors I've ever worked with. Plus they are great guys on top of it, which makes the process move so much more smoothly. We never had to chase anyone down or wonder when anything was going to happen. They were great communicators throughout the entire project and we absolutely love our new backyard. “Nato Vargas and his team did extensive drainage work for us in 2014. This involved taking down the soil level 4 inches in the back garden, digging and installing several french drains and a sump pump. Since then we've had no water accumulation during subsequent rainy seasons, protecting our foundation. The drainage works perfectly! Nato and team have come back twice, in 2017 and 2020, to repair and stain our back garden fence, resurface the gold fine decomposed granite paths, install a new mail box, replace a garden gate and build a wood shelter for our recology bins. Nato and his team do beautiful work!”

“Southbay Design & Landscaping redid our backyard over 4 years ago, and have been maintaining it ever since. They are very responsive to any requests we have and are thorough in the maintenance of our yard. I appreciate that they will plant new plants for us if we pick them up and have given advice on what kind of plants work around our yard. They even help out by fixing our sprinklers without us asking (we actually hadn’t realized it was broken but were suspicious of why the grass wasn’t growing well in one spot). We appreciate their professionalism and good work.”

He takes the time to review your needs and offers suggestions. Our new sod lawn and plants make our home look beautiful and brand new. It’s like a model house! Joel took the time to go with us to select the plants to go along with the new lawn. His prices are reasonable and his workers great. We had 1,000 square feet of lawn plus a tree and plants added.
