“Mary Jo was a Godsend to us. When we first contacted her for our full basement renovation including the addition of a bedroom and bathroom, we were under an extremely short timeline. Although I knew making decisions in a short timeframe was far less than an ideal situation, she swooped in and came to our rescue! Her calm and professional approach and valuable input allowed us to efficiently make important and time-sensitive decisions about our remodel including paint color, tile and bathroom hardware selections. She delivered her expert opinions to us in a direct yet flexible manner and worked with our contractor in an extremely respectful and collaborative fashion. Now that we are able to work with Mary Jo at a more relaxed pace, we are really benefitting from her deep knowledge and expert input. Her “rules of thumb” are helping to determine the optimal furniture placement. When it comes to picking out rugs, window treatments and things like that, since she already learned our personal style, she is able to make targeted recommendations that really make the selection process easy for us. Instead of sifting through hundreds of possibilities, she is able to narrow it down to just a few solid choices for us. We are very grateful to have found Mary Jo. “Daniel Martin designed a deck that spanned the back of our house. The deck included planters, seating, multiple levels, lighting and access from the front of the house. I would describe Danny's designs as understated--a cross between Frank Lloyd Wright and the mission style. The deck was designed for heavy entertaining. He was very focused on designing the deck to fit our needs. Danny even considered natural light and the positioning of the sun on the deck throughout the day as well as designing for privacy. Danny was always open to our feedback and we made several adjustments throughout the project.
