She made it simple, as as soon as we decided on one element, she took off and pulled together a beautiful schematic that flowed from one beautiful room to another. “We must, by way of relief and gratitude, begin this review of Thoroughbred Custom Homes with the highest regard and highest recommendation! I first would like to start by commending TCH on their utmost honesty, high integrity, and professionalism through and through. After critically and extensively researching several other “custom home builders” in the DFW area, i can confidently say that none of them hold a candle next to Thoroughbred. Thoroughbred created a masterpiece of a home that far exceeded our already very high expectations. The quality and scale of our home is stellar- they do not take shortcuts. The materials thoroughbred used to construct the shell of our home, as their standard, typically would cost tens of thousands to upgrade to through other home builders. They truly are not bluffing when they say high quality is their standard, this company sets the bar extraordinarily high. Harris and Evan are exceptional construction managers. They both went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, to ensure to job site was clean each and every day, and most importantly that the jobs were being done right. They kept us informed at all times and made sure jobs were getting done on schedule day in and day out. They were very transparent about costs, and they made the process so easy with the BuilderTREND app. Unlike our experience with other large scale home builders, we were never once blind sided or price gouged when it came to choosing interior finishes. In fact, because of our experiences with other home builders in the area, i can also confidently say that thoroughbred has the most generous allowances when selecting finishes. As someone who is passionate about design- this is where it hit a home run for me. Gina, who leads the design aspect of construction was an absolute pleasure to work with! Gina has excellent taste, class, and vision. She helped guide me through to make the right choices, in addition to steering me away from what could be a bad choice by considering the dynamics of our life…(kids, dogs, etc.) She truly pulled everything together seamlessly without me ever feeling overwhelmed, and i never want to design another house without her!! All of this leads me to say that although Thoroughbred Custom Homes is a newer builder to the North Dallas area- they are exactly what this area has been missing. You can find a home builder just about anywhere in Dallas- but you won’t find a top of the line, best of the best builder like Thoroughbred.”

“We have had the pleasure to work with Dee on our master bedroom, living room and dining room. She has an amazing ability to design the rooms to exactly fit our wants and needs. We couldn't tell her exactly what our design tastes were or exactly what we wanted but she was still able to design our dream rooms. Dee is great because she not only creates the design, but she handles the scheduling of any contractors that are needed and is also hands on with every aspect of the design install. We were always worried the we wouldn't be able to picture what the final result would be, but when Dee uses her "magic" software we were able to see exactly what the rooms would look like. Not only did she take us out shopping for artwork but she also came up with a great idea with getting our kids involved with the design by having them create some paintings that hang prominently in the dining room. We are looking forward to our next project with Dee which will be the largest so far...the kitchen/family room! We can't wait to get started! Dee is simply a joy to work with!”

“Contractors 4U worked very quickly on a proposal for a remodel. Received a very accurate quote on the scope of work and we were able to move forward. The work was completed and I could not have been anymore pleased. They kept me up to date throughout the entire process, which was nice. I will definitely use them for any future remodels or new builds.”

“John is a creative genius. My wife and I were very reluctant to start on remodeling our kitchen and bath as there are so many people in the home improvement business that lack professional skills we considered essential. Long story short, we found John Voigt to be highly skilled in his profession, on time and followed up on everything religiously until this massive job was complete. I cannot say enough good things about Mr. Voigt. I highly recommend him.”

“Whatever you need, Robert is ON IT. On time, on budget, beautiful work, and he WRANGLES WITH THE INSURANCE COMPANY so you don't have to. We hired Kodiak to stain our pool deck (at the recommendation of the local Sherwin Williams). Robert took one look at our roof and said, "You've got a lot of hail damage, see?" then showed us pics of the dings and dents we'd failed to notice. He met with the insurance adjuster a few days later and within a week we had a brand new roof. I then hired him to repair and seal our driveway. He powerwashed it THREE TIMES before putting the sealer on. A contractor with a conscience!”

“After reviewing Direct Home Designs information on Houzz, I decided to contact Wendy. She promptly returned my call. We set up a meeting within the next couple of days to discuss new house plans. After sitting down with her and discussing my "wants" and my attempts to sketch the layout, I knew she was the perfect person to design our new home. She really listened to what we liked and didn't like. She asked questions on how our current house functioned. She brought up items we hadn't even thought about! Needless to say, our new house plans are wonderful. We will be breaking ground soon and I can't wait to post pictures so everyone can see how great Wendy's work is!”
