“Scott designed and drafted plans for a master bedroom extension for us. The plans were submitted and approved by the city with no revisions. That was awesome & a relief! He listened to our desires, took time to answer our questions & responded to all our concerns. He is very knowledgeable about codes & rules. He was efficient & his fees were reasonable. “Vani recently architected a 500sq ft remodel + addition project on our house. When we started, we had a very rough idea of the project. Not dismissing any of our inputs, Vani expertly encapsulated them with her own and came up with an impressive design. In just a few meetings, we had the final design ready. A stickler for perfection that she is, her drawings were very clear and detailed and have received compliments from almost every contractor we sent them to. What really drew us to her is her work-ethics. She promptly attends and returns calls and requires zero follow-up. She keeps you well-updated on the progress at every stage. She goes beyond doing just her homework, works closely with other engineers and ensures there are no delays and permit is pulled right on time. She has also worked with multiple contractors and has a good understanding of the industry and has given us expert advice every time we were in need of it. In short, she went beyond and above our expectations and our relationship has only strengthened with time. One can totally entrust her with their dream project(s). Very highly recommend!”

“Impluvium listened to my spiritual desires to create a contemporary space that made guests feel instantly welcome while providing function for everyday life. I described a desire that my home subliminally feel like a space where East meets West. Many visitors comment on how "happy", comfortable, and Zen like my home is. Mission accomplished thanks to Tim Haley! The project involved an extensive remodel of my 3 bedroom/2 bath townhouse inclusive of footprint expansions (addition of ~75 sq. ft.), relocation of all plumbing and electrical, removal of demising wall, new windows, doors and skylights, and creative solutions designed to maximize space. In particular, Impluvium not only designed an aesthetically beautiful ceiling in the great room, but it also provides layers of light for multiple uses at all times of the day and night, functionally it is a chase which delivers the in-home sound system and HVAC system, and it masks the new structural beam required when the demising wall was removed. The accuracy and completeness of Impluvium's design and architectural drawings were instrumental in expediting HOA approvals and permits.”

“We recommend John without reservation. He was the architect for our remodel several years ago. Many remodels feel very tacked-on. Every one of his remodeling projects felt very organic--they felt like the house was meant to be that way. He not only achieved that with ours but also solved some tough drainage problems on our lot. Years after the project was completed, we still marvel at how well the house works and how well it has handled our changing needs. He is also very professional. He set our expectations regarding cost and timing and met those expectations. Finally he provided great references to a contractor and a designer. We were so impressed, we just hired him again to work on our vacation house.”

“Masha recently worked on bedroom/bathroom remodel of our home. This was 3rd peoject she helped us on and we are thrilled with the results. Our house is very unusual in the way that most walls are curved and our bedroom and bathroom area had many dividing half walls breaking the space up. We wanted to open it up and create an open room, but still have visual divisions for the spaces with different purposes. Masha understood what we were after and offered us multiple solutions. She worked through our comments until we were happy with the layout. Working with her was pleasant and fun experience and I can’t wait for us to work on other areas of our house together!”
