“From start to finish this was an amazing experience. Becky listened to all of our input and took all of our wants and needs into consideration. The project came in under budget and ahead of schedule and the crew doing the work were fabulous. We will be using them again on next major project! We wanted an architect that fostered trust and mutual respect, shared a common vision with us and was a healthy communicator. Natalie and Pat provided us with the highest level of experience and service. Their impeccable sense of design and understanding for how to create a space that would perfectly meet our needs over time was faultless. My wife and I love the outdoors in Colorado and with a generous outdoor living space including lounge seating, kitchen, large custom designed fire pit and jacuzzi, it's a substantial addition to our home. The project went smoothly from start to finish and we can't be more complementary about the way that Natalie and Pat led the process. Both offered such a positive attitude in exploring our options and in trouble shooting the challenges that we wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend this firm!!”

“I pretty much knew want I wanted to do with my project. I warned Ellen I knew enough about architecture to be dangerous. Ellen recognized my requirements and was instrumental in identifying other considerations needed for the project. Included was a need for a code variance (setback). I was informed by the city, before starting the project, a code allowance(variance) was not required. Ellen’s code research was right. A code allowance was required. With her help, the review board approved the code allowance request unanimously. Our project involves bumping the attached garage eight feet to allow for a utility room between the garage and house. The design includes moving the washer and dryer out of the basement. As simple as the project sounds, there is a lot involved. Ellen listened to my wife’s concerns and ideas on the project. Together we achieved a very efficient design. We are now in the permit and construction phase of the project. I am looking forward to Ellen’s input. Ellen deserves your serious consideration.”

“First – know that Hampton Architecture is fantastic to work with. Hampton Architecture assisted my wife and me in making our vision of a modern off-grid cabin a reality. The services started with education and consultation. Hampton Architecture worked with us to collect our idea, and worked within constrains we set. Hampton Architecture painted a clear picture of the process (from concept to Certificate of Occupancy). Ethan presented a design that incorporated all of our objectives for this special property. He even took the time for an extensive site visit to capture the feel of the living land, the view angles, the topography, landscape and colors. I have minor building experience and we were not sure of the reliability of local trades in the remote mountain location – above Marble, CO. Hampton Architecture took care of all the details to get us an approved building permit with Gunnison County (one of the more stringent building code requirement Counties in the State of Colorado). Hampton Architecture proposed a building solution that would minimize our need for local labor – SIP. During the build, Ethan was available for the very few time necessary to clarify plan details – there were 4 total clarifications needed. In the end, we finish with a cabin of our dreams, built within the schedule and budget that we could afford. I’m happy to recommend Hampton Architecture to anyone how needs help turning a vision into a reality.”

“Lauren Shadid designed the remodel of my home to expand the kitchen and open up the family room, and make use of our space more efficiently. She was very thorough and diligent in her work and was very conscious in keeping within our budget. She works very well with contractors and is always available when she is needed. She was always very response to my questions and concerns. Her background in interior design is a huge bonus as she was very helpful in helping me choose colors and tile. Lauren also helped design my backyard space. We live on sloped lot and she was able to design a pool, jacuzzi, fire pit, and lounge area, whereras before we had a basketball court above the main patio area that was never used. We don't have a finished yard yet, but I can see the transformation and how much more we will enjoy our new space.”

“Chip came up with some beautiful designs that made the best use of a difficult space. He is a real pro. Chip listens to the clients desires then "stretches the dream" to a place that others might not have thought of. He knows the local codes and zoning parameters and makes everything work smoothly with local building jurisdictions.”
