I gave him my list of must haves and he designed a digital rendering of what it would look like. From demolition to the final result he was always clean, courteous and considerate of our lives as he worked around us. We love our new bathroom and wish we had done it sooner. “I have used Odd Fellows Contracting at least five times in the last ten years. I have even recommended them to my parents. Odd Fellows has always had experienced professionals do my jobs, the people have been friendly and take pride in their work. They do a great job of cleaning up during and after the job. The jobs they have done have been, dig out and redo a crawl space; redo two bathrooms; replace a outside wall and place new flooring down; repair a garage roof as well as replace sections of a covered walkway roof and place new supports for the walkway. My parents were very pleased with the basement ceiling and lighting that was done for them. Odd Fellow is my go to contractor. (the date and cost is for the last project they did for me.)”

“I used Balbes Custom Building for my repair and my remodel of my basement when I had a flood. I was concerned since I just moved into the house. The basement was just redone. Jon Balbes and is crew were amazing! Jon came in and assured me he would get the basement looking good again and he did! Balbes custom building took care of the water damage, put up new drywall and painted. They fixedf thr damaged floor in the bathroom and got the carpet in stalled as well. In addition he referred me to a plubmer that helped with the flood problem in the first place. The work he did was beautiful, in a timely fasion and reasonably priced wi. I would use Balbes Custom building again in a heart beat.”

“This builder is fabulous. They were honest, up front, conscientious, timely, creative, clean and their trades were terrific. This was a top quality job and the builder worked within my budget. They were working on several projects at the same time of mine and while I was by far the smallest job, they always treated me exactly as they did the job that was 10x's my size and budget. The comprehensive years of experience that the team had was invaluable for me. Great company! I only hope to win the lotto so I can have them build me a house from scratch...this time no budget.”

“When choosing a builder for our remodel, we wanted someone we could trust, connect with, and still respect at the end of the process! Steve was very interested and really took the time to find out what we wanted. We liked his straightforward, yet honest approach. We truly appreciate the fact Schuster Homes prides itself in being available and on the job at all times. Although Steve had several other projects going, we always got the impression that our was the only one, as he and his staff were always accessible for our needs. We also appreciated Steve’s positive attitude. No issue was too big or too small, and our happiness was his biggest concern! SHI has a unique feel in that they are truly a family business and really care. There is an old-fashioned pride and work ethic that comes through from the very beginning, and stays until the job is complete. That is not a common quality in businesses these days. We were nervous about the process of doing an extensive remodel, as it was our first, but our experience could not have been better. We had nothing but positives during the planning, executing and completion of our remodel and we can honestly say, we not only have a great builder but awesome friends in the Schusters as well!”

“I hired Dennis Shaefer to build two gazebos in the late 1980's and to remodel my basement in the early 1990's. His work is excellent and long lasting. We recently had the gazebo at our home which was built in 1988 refinished and it looks like it was built just yesterday. The second gazebo he built was on the shores of Lake Michigan at our northern retreat. It has withstood 25 years of extreme wind, cold, sun and sand and still looks as beautiful today as it did when it was first built in 1989. Another advantage to hiring Dennis is that he stands by his work and will correct any future problems. Moreover, even years after he built our products he was ready and able to repair roof damage when some of the shingles blew off from hurricane force winds on Lake Michigan. (The wind only damaged one section of the roof and the Cupola, The same wind capsized a number of boats in Lake Michigan and uprooted trees hundreds of feet from the shoreline.. So i'm not exaggerating when I say his products withstand the test of time and elements.) I recommend Dennis if you are seeking services of the highest quality. Greg Gibbs”
