Erin even let me parade my mother and best friend in during various times to get their opinions on whatever we were selecting that day. Everyone at HD was incredibly accommodating to our needs. From the complimentary soft drinks, tea and coffee in the showroom to the fun hand soap in the bathroom – I always felt at home in the HD office/showroom. The best thing about the design process with Harris Doyle is that their showroom is loaded with samples. Everything is a sample. Want to see the Coffered Wall you love in the design book? Come around this corner right here… Having a hard time picking out carpet? Take your shoes off and let Erin put a carpet pad down for you to get the right feel. Beyond the samples, I always felt like Erin shared my vision for my new home. We didn’t just stick to the new homeowner binder they give you when you sign up – we were on Pinterest and Google constantly. Erin was always quick to give her expert advice as it relates to the different products and services they offer, but never offered up her opinion on a design element unless I specifically asked (which was a lot, by the way – both Erin and Alice have a fantastic knack for design!). I even asked for Erin’s advice, which she graciously lended, in refurbishing some old furniture to match our new house design after our design process was completed. I cannot wait to see the finished result. I know I will be just as impressed with our new home as I have been about the whole process with Harris Doyle. “We have had a kitchen remodel done and a sunroom edition done. They come out on each project and the initial interview finds out what you want and then they explain what is feasible. After a compromise is reached, they send a series of team members out to go through everything from floor choices to paint colors with you. They also prepare a computerized walk through where you can see exactly what your project is going to look like. After there is agreement, you get a detailed step by step plan and final exact price with what is due at every step. There is no room for misunderstanding. Once the project is ready to go, they assign a specific project manager to your project and he is given a key and a copy of your schedule. While your project is underway, he work just for you and no one else. There is a note each day as to what will be done the next day. They always schedule their arrival to be after you have left and close out before you get home. When the project is finished , you see exact matches on all construction. No gaps and no obvious mistakes. Then you get a three year warranty. The owner Rob Baugher comes out himself on the initial visit so there will be no misunderstanding. In addition, there is no swearing or smoking allowed on the site. It is a great company to deal with.”
