“The Bird Brothers, David and Steve are "hands on" owners of Bird Hardwood Floors. They (and their well trained crew) installed oak floors in half of my home 10 years ago. The floors have become even more beautiful since that time. In October of this year, I decided to complete the wood floors through the remaining areas of my home. I didn't even consider using another company. I received a detailed written description of what the job would entail from Steve (step-by-step overview of the process; the minimal disruption to expect during the job; timeline; etc.) The morning the work began, David and his crew arrived promptly at the set time. The old carpet was ripped up, sub flooring prepped, and solid oak floors installed/sanded in one day. The rooms were clean and areas cleared of any materials by the time I got home that evening. I "lived" on the bare wood for a week, and the crew returned for the application of two coats polyurethane the following week. (I was only out of my home three nights to allow the floors to completely dry and for the fumes to dissipate.) The new floors are gorgeous! And are an exact match with the floors Bird Hardwood Floors installed previously. I've provided this step-by-step review of the wood installation because there may be those who are unsure of the process, and how it will impact their daily routine. Let me just say this: it's worth it! The Bird brothers are a second generation business of wood floor installers. Their knowledge and craftsmanship are top notch.
