“My wife and I purchased a new spec home from Mitchell & Best and we are thrilled with the quality and attention to detail. The house is amazingly tight, we had a gas line that was damaged during some construction on the street and were without gas for 5 hours. It was below 30 degrees and windy and during the 5 hours the house temp dropped 3 degrees from 72 down to 69. I highly recommend this builder.”

“In the past we used a design/build company and did not feel that we had control over the process or the budget. When we reviewed the bill we found the mark-up was excessive, especially when sub-contractors were used for most of the work. This time around we chose to use Chad with Arlington Construction Mangement because of the ability to control expenses, choose the products used in building our addition and select our own sub-contractors. The ability to get several estimates and meet the subs for each trade beforehand made a huge difference in our experience. We completed our project 2 months earlier than predicted and were able to stay within budget. We ended up saving 28% from our lowest bid and we were able to use upgraded products along the way. Chad gave us great advice, support and knowledge to help us through our project. I know we would not have received the same personal service from any other builder. We would use Chad again and would highly recommend him to anyone looking into building.”

“When searching for a company to remodel our kitchen, we turned to friends and neighbors for guidance. Because we were new to the area, we were relying solely on the recommendation of others to provide us with a few contractors to interview. Two of the three people we asked provided us with the contact info for MP Constriction & Excavation. Imagine my surprise when two people who did not know each other both had great things to say about this company. When I called MP, I was greeted with a friendly voice who took the time to understand our needs without a pushy sales pitch. I invited Matt (the owner) to our home to further discuss our project. To my surprise, he even presented me with various options that ended up saving us money on our kitchen remodel. We could not be happier with our experience with MP Construction. “Gutted the kitchen and did a complete remodel. Original kitchen was u-shape with an island squaring it off. Issues: The oven was next to refrigerator; pipes of the sink located on outside wall kept freezing in extreme weather; cooktop on island made cooking difficult, could barely boil water; limited counter space; dated white cabinets; and built in desk that was no longer useful. The design called for moving double oven to opposite wall of kitchen, relocated pipes from outside wall by bringing them up from floor, moved cooktop off island to against side wall, pushed island back to create more floor space, custom cabinets with granite countertops, and a beverage bar with sink. The existing ceramic tile is in good shape and we wanted to keep it. It turns out that keeping the flooring was almost a deal breaker. We began making selections... custom design natural stained maple cabinets in transitional style; stainless steel appliances, granite. When we went for flooring, we were told that the existing tile was too old to withstand the cuts necessary to add decorative touches which would cover holes/ broken tiles when building the new island. Between Jeff & sub contractor, a compatible tile was used to look like a rug and the island was placed on it. It turned out to be one of my favorite things. Jeff Musser, owner, provided a great design that satisfied work flow and efficiency/space issues. He surrounds his business with quality sub contractors. He works within budget and time restraints. And, finally, he makes customers aware of the process and sets a schedule so expectations are realistic. No disappointments here. Musser Builders are the best!”
