We had heard about Kathleen Townsend Interior Design and decided to give her a call and see what a interior designer would bring to the project. It was the best decision we ever made. April 2012 We had used Kathleen Townsend Interior Design for our project in the basement and were so pleased we wanted to use her again for our office project. We wanted to take our formal dining room and make it into an office. We needed the office functional but with a warm and comfortable atmosphere. She did most the work, we just had to pick out what we wanted from her samples and books. She checked with everyone involved on the project to make sure they were on schedule. Again the transformation was astonishing. It is more than we had hoped for. Everyone that has come to visit cannot stop talking about how stunning the room is. July 2015 We had done a project in the basement in 2011 with Kathleen Townsend Interior Design and it was a total transformation that we decided to move forward with the rest of the basement. After talking with Kathleen about what we wanted to do with the room she helped us think outside the box. To envision what we wanted the room for and imagine how we could achieve it. We took an ordinary basement room and turned it into a stunning exercise room. We ended up moving the bathroom and enlarging the room. It was able to give us plenty of room for our equipment, sauna, and put a personal touch to the room. The bathroom is not only functional but exquisite. “I originally met Tiffany when she worked as a designer with a local furniture company. We were downsizing to a condo and wanted to start again with furniture and decor. She made the transition easier. I was very happy with the working relationship we had and have used her expertise on numerous projects since the initial one. I value her professional advice. She is my go to when my brain is clogged with details and I do not want to make any more decisions.... which seems to happen more as I get older. She helped me choose a color scheme for our whole condo as well as furniture placement and some of the extra decorating items. A good designer takes all the brain clogging details we store. She/he sorts them into "keep", "donate" and "dump". All I have to do is concentrate on the "keep" pile. It is very liberating and cheaper than a therapist. I am willing to add photos, but would seek her permission first, as I do not always do exactly what a designer would do, and she may not want certain choices displayed as having her stamp of approval. She charges by the hour or by the project.”

She explained how we were going to tackle the project and we got to it! During the organizing process, we went through each item, deciding if I needed it or not. She never acted annoyed if I kept something stupid or pressured me to get rid of anything. She found a place for everything I kept and it’s all amazingly organized in its own space. After having her help me with that small area, I went on to do a few other areas of my house myself. She was a blessing to me when I didn’t know I needed it.”
