“We hired Mike Di Rienzo/Can-Tex Developers to remodel 2 bathrooms in our 1960’s home. One was stuck in that era and the other had issues caused by a previous contractor’s inexperience. Thanks to Mike’s attention to detail and quality craftsmanship, my vision for those bathrooms we not only met but exceeded by Mike’s tiling skills. Every morning he and his team were on time and cleaned up each evening. He offered cost effective solutions when unexpected construction issues arose which is common in any older home remodel. We will be working with Mike again very soon to remodel our last bathroom and installing new flooring and cabinetry. We highly recommend Mike for any remodel projects you may have. -Deb & Jim”

“After a very successful MBR bathroom remodeling session, we invited Scott and Carol to come back to remodel our kitchen. This included removal of the builder quality cabinets and replacing them with white 42" shaker cabinets and plenty of extra space. Their team did a great job and finished the project in the time they projected. Questions -- Scott or Carol almost instantly respond. They are both extremely flexible and want to ensure you wind up with exactly the finished product you desired. Quality work for a reasonable price!! Highly recommended.”

“Professional group!!! I haven't had the job completed but the salesperson was professional and knowledgable. I checked with 6 references and was told they were very happy with the work although it was a bit more expensive than other companies. I liked that it was completely turnkey.”

“We moved into a 1955 ranch house with a dated, non functioning master bath and dark paneled living area in which the only light source were two sliding glass doors on either side of a red brick fireplace. The floor in the living area was carpeted hiding an original oak floor and a concrete foundation add-on. Cross Construction remodeled the bath, re carpeted and painted the adjoining masterbath. They oversaw the installation of new oak flooring and refinishing of the original in the living area, entryway and a small tiled area of the hallway to the bedrooms resulting in a cohesive flow between the adjoining areas. They installed Marvin french doors replacing the sliding doors and replaced through out the house Marvin casement windows. The whole project took two months while we lived in a back room. There was a crew member designated project manager who was first to arrive and last to leave making sure every evening the timeline was met and all was cleaned up.The crew arrived every morning at seven on the dot, professional and well mannered, becoming part of the family to the frustration of our two dachshunds. Craig Scott the owner was thorough and upfront with all costs in the initial planning and with the inevitable surprises associated with remodeling. We chose to contract the electrician ourselves thinking it would reduce costs but found we had no control of their timeliness and the coordination of work, we learned our lesson. This project made our newly purchased home comfortable and pleasing for us but there still remains a kitchen and laundry room redo in the future. Without hesitation Cross Construction will be our contractor of choice.”

“I love the job that Zendo Renovations did at my home. I recently purchased a new home. Greg/Zendo were highly recommend. From initial consultation, I was able to see why. Greg is extremely professional with a great personality that puts a homeowner at ease. Zendo replaced the tile in two bathrooms and replaced carpet with wood flooring in two bedrooms. I was very pleased with 3 rooms immediately and not so much with the master bath. I called Greg with my concerns. He responded immediately and was back onsite the next day. The issue was faulty thin set so it was no fault of Zendo Renovations. They replaced almost half of the floor and made it right. I'm extremely happy with all four rooms completed. I highly recommend Zendo Renovations.”

“Hill Country Building & Renovations price is reasonable, but the way it works is that Calvin requires the home owner to purchase all of the visible parts, and have them on the premises PRIOR to his arrival (tile, faucets, grout, paint etc.) to start work. He lets the homeowner how much of each product the owner has to purchase which helps a lot. By having all the stuff on site Calvin had my master bathroom was done in 2 weeks. (Only the stain on the cabinets did not dry in a timely fashion.) When the project is about to begin he negotiates with the home owner where the messy work with tile and wood should place to minimize dust. As the project is progressing he is good about returning telephone calls or texts because he truly wants to know any dislikes or concerns early on so that corrections can be made. He is ethical in his workmanship. When the old shower and tub were pulled out, there was wood rot, old termite damage, and mildew that had to be removed in some of the supporting structure. He coordinated with the representative from our termite company who had to apply a treatment into the ground where the new shower drain pipes would eventually go. We were grateful that the repairs for the rot set us back only an additional $500.00. He took the time and treated the old and new wood in place with treatment to prevent future mildew and added hardiplank and sealant so that water from the shower would never enter the wall again. When the stain had not dried on our bathroom cabinets within 2-3 days he brought a dehumidifier that day in order to speed up the drying. It ultimately took an additional week for the stain to dry. (Needless to say, he did not use that brand of stain on the kitchen project.) Finally, when I had questions on which type of paint or tile to use in a particular location, he had good answers based on experience. I gave him "artistic license" to create designs which was a good move. He then could turn a plain design to a very nice design. When the master bathroom was done, it was beautiful and ready to show. I did learn that he can forget a few little things. Therefore, if the homeowner has things that he does not want Calvin to discard, or which will be part of the touch-up list later on, then it's best for home owner needs to write those things down. Then he will complete them. His estimate covers not only his labor, but also the things one does not see, the plumbing pipes, the glues, etc. He could have nickeled and dimed us for every additional component of the job that was specified in the original contract. Instead he believes it is just part of the quality of his work. Would I use his services again? Absolutely!”

“Scott & his team worked on my guest bathroom and I could not have been more pleased. Not only was the workmanship excellent, but the contractors showed up on time and on schedule. Scott was on the worksite every day. My job took about two weeks. Update: My master bath has now also been remodeled and I could not be more pleased. The experience was a duplicate of what I described above. I highly recommend Scott!”
