“Dave Callas is the owner of the company and was great to work with from day one. HV Renovations was recommended by my mortgage broker. We were buying a new home and wanted to put in a new kitchen, remove some walls and relocate a sliding glass door and a couple windows. We financed the project through a renovation loan with Wells Fargo and we were at the 11th hour in terms of getting our plans to Wells and we just weren't happy with the pricing and relationship we had with the contractor we had been working with. We called HV Reno and Dave came out right away and gave us a much better quote. Dave's experience with major renovations helped him identify if the walls were load bearing and the costs associated with relocating baseboard heat, plumbing and electric. He has a network of specialists like plumbers and electricians that allow him to quote a job accurately. HV Renos work was quick, clean and high quality. They were very fair and easy to work with on change orders. Excellent communication and easy to get in touch with. Dave also has a lot of experience with Renovation loans and made that process very easy for us. I can't tell you how important that is because when you're dealing with banks and draws on construction loans, you need a guy who has enough capital to keep his guys working while he works out any issues the bank might have releasing the draw. I would highly recommend HV Renovations and Dave Callas to anyone.”

“Our house is old (1877) and the cement basement floor was uneven. Robert solved the problem of unevenness without having to jack hammer the existing floor and pouring a new one. We are very satisfied with the result, and the way he went about the work. We were regularly updated, and when we had to order more tile, he worked around the week until the needed tile became available. Highly recommended.”

“Paul Matarazzo is a GOD send! He is the fine match between an excellent tradesman, and a creative artist. Paul has the rigor and experience of working with VERY HIGH END clients and brings that level of professionalism to every job he does. He has tiled our kitchen backsplash (even while we were out of town!) and remodeled our entire 1200 square foot basement. From a completely unfinished open floor plan, he created a work-out room, craft room, photo studio, storage area, shop, playroom and a wonderful family room for entertaining. Not only is he always on time, he stayed within our budget and was very sensitive to our family's need to live in the house while he was working. A project that might have taken other contractors MONTHS was completed within a few short weeks. My husband is an avid DIY'er - who OFTEN has difficulty when contractors do work in our home. Not with Paul. His work is professional, clean, and he makes it SO easy to live in the space during a construction job. It's difficult to find people who will 'do things as well as you', who are competent and sensitive to your individual needs, and people you'd leave your entire home to while away on vacation... but Paul is one of those guys. I am proud to recommend Paul Matarazzo to anyone. I trust that he'll create a realistic estimate, stick to a reliable schedule, do an excellent job, and communicate if anything is slipping off-track.
