“We hired Ellene to draw a plan for our home renovation, which involved enlarging our kitchen, enclosing a sunroom, and reconfiguring an existing den. While other neighbors with the same model house had done projects to expand their kitchens, we wanted to use the combined space to get an additional bedroom, small bathroom, and larger kitchen while at the same time only reducing the den slightly. After taking measurements, Ellene spent hours discussing with us how we could best use the space to meet our needs. “We found VKB to be a great choice for our full master bathroom remodel. They provided their estimate quickly and out of the 3 other quotes we received for this project they were the least expensive. The work was done with care, especially the tile work, which took longer than expected but only because the workers were careful and meticulous with their detail. We were short some tile, and in these cases they clearly told me what I needed to go get, which was much appreciated. The allowances in the budget for the fixtures and mirrors and such were generous; in fact, we decided to buy our own at Home Depot and received a credit. We relied on VKB to arrange the vanity/counter and shower door, both of which came out much better than expected. My only criticism would be a few minor details were missed, such as the drawer hardware, which came later and had to be installed separately. Overall, however, we were very happy with VKB and would certainly look to them again if we were considering any other work.”
